Race ported sachs dolmar 166 compared to a work ported 166
exhaust.

Man that exhaust port was raised quite a bit on the race saw.

External boost ports and oem piston ran backwards.
Marcel Vincent Performance MVP Canada, I think he knows what he
is doing. ;)
Carb was a modified WG2. Dang thing could swallow a golf ball.

Yes I know that's a MVP saw. I've worked on a 084 and 090 built
by him back in 1989. Exact same style of cut off head like on
your 166. I couldn't see any epoxy on the transfers in your
pic, as that's what Marcel did to the 084 and 090.
That's why I commented "the epoxied covers are missing". ;)

Have a thread here on this fix I did 6 or 7 years ago.
Only one way to stop the bar oil from ruining that $30 a gallon
alky/nitro sprint nitrodine fuel = 2010 price. Split that metal
tank and sealed it back with Threebond 1194.

Great thread! I recently picked up a 166 from a member. One of
the last Holy Grail saws on my list. Now if I can just score a
