Some models look interesting. One looks like a Redmax 400/4500
copy.

active it's an italian trademark. they bought old OPEM and
MONDIAL (also italian) ten years ago, more ore less.
except one model (that's a zenoah-redmax concession) all the
others are made in italy. the engines, in particular the 39.39
(40.40), are wonderfull and powerfull. good saws even quite
cheap in Italy. for a 39.39 we pay more or less 300 euros...

I've got a 2-yr-old Active 39.39 that needs some help: the lock
on the safety guard doesn't retract properly when the guard is
pulled back--it doesn't slide smoothly into the casing, but
forces the edge of the casing up. And the chain needs
tightening. Thing is, this brand isn't sold much in Spain (I
live in Madrid), so I'm trying to find a repair shop that can
work on it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
