It was producer's call I guess. He is way too good for them.
Professionalism is a thing but he needs to have his own opinion.

DF, can you find a Mollywood review for this movie? Subtle does
not work in Tollywood. Why did they make such a movie for Telegu
audiences? Of note is that the movie is being overwhelmingly
panned by critics but not Chay's performance. The feedback from
the movie going audience is more positive.

I totally agree....chay is a good actor...at least after Majili
or LS he has become really good... I agree with you this film is
not as bad as it's number in the box office... I loved it...the
thing I believe the makers didn't believe in this project from
the beginning and this is why they cut it short or didn't
promote it....
It may not be able to satisfy you and there will be one /two
moments you will feel bored but this is quite natural...

I love this song featuring chay Raashi....
This was meant for Tamil or Malayalam audience not for Telugu
audience... They should have released it in TN...
With due respect to Telugu movie goers , it is not meant for
them... I guess chay also realised it after starting working in
this film...
And this is why he kept talking about Telugu Tamil
sensibility...
And this is high time chay should come out and promote his work
and himself...I am having this urge to tell him - bro you are
living in the era of social media, your father's time has gone,
not asking to share your personal life but do something at least
stay active for the sake of your profession..times are
changing...
If he gets acceptance in the Hindi/Tamil belt...i guess his
acting will be appreciated..

Ya, DF, LP: you have the measure of it. this movie feels like an
neglected child someone at the very last moment realised needed
to fed, clothed and loved for survival.

The penny took a while to drop but this is probably what
happened to TY from posts over a period on GA:
1. Dil Raju wanted to go straight to OTT, therefore minimum
promotions
2. Whichever platforn they wre going to stream on (apparently
the producers were in negotiation with two), required them to go
to theatres first before OTT. GA has an article today about
statight to OTT or to theatres first.
3.Producers aren't worried. They probably have recovered their
money from OTT. Rana did the same for VP. The fate of
distributors may be a different story.

TQ distribution rights were in the hand of Dil Raju... Right?
One thing I am confident about makers were aware of the fate of
the film... I still remember..P.C sir passed a statement that
this script was rejected by everyone... It was p.c sir who
agreed as he believed that it is a good film... And obviously
his equation with Vikram...
Chay also didn't seem confident with this product like he was
during LS.... Another thing I noticed... Chay was a risk taker
and this is why he agreed... They were planning Dootha first but
TQ just happened in the process...
Telugu is suffering from RRR curse....
Look at Tamil...chay made a good decision by going for Tamil..he
is more suitable for TAMIL industry than TFI..
TQ had from the day one low /negative buzz

If everyone disliked the script, why not fix it or not make the
movie at all? Reviewers are even saying that it had the
potential to be so much more. This risk was not worth it. Chay
has wilfully messed up a winning streak if he wasn't confident
about the script.
Ya, the curse looks real[emoji16]. Have there been any recent
Telegu movies that have not tanked post RRR?
Chay, SP, Nani, Nazriya, Ram Pothineni, Chiru, RC all beset by
flops.

Yes it has all the potential to become an amazing film...
100% agree
As a normal viewer i can even point out those moments...
I tried to watch Acharya...after 30 mins I had to switch it
off...
But TQ is not that bad...
No, I don't think it was a bad film initially..but in the
process they lost the track..
You posted an article month before, GA blind, on this issue..
If not then they harshly cut it short and edited out some
connecting moments..
I can't digest that Acharya, TQ, warrior, Pakka Commercial all
tanked while TQ is a far better movie of all
It looked like they shooted few scenes and later on they
combined them together.😔

Haven’t watched the movie yet as the movie isn’t releasing here.
Waiting to stream it online once a clear copy is available.
It’s so sad and disappointing that this movie has to compete
with Acharya. If I’m not wrong, the username Railway Poorna is
his PR and he rightfully changed his username to NagaChaitanya’s
Acharya before the release itself.
As per the reviews, it looks like a half baked chicken. Except
Chay’s looks and acting skills, nothing else made an impact.
A few years ago, pre Covid, it would have done good business
nevertheless.
But the TFI is hit by Rajamouli curse and storm. Unless it’s an
extravagant grandiose movie, none gonna watch it in theaters.
But it will do well on OTT. TY will be well received in contrary
to Acharya.
The makers probably had a premonition about its fate thus the
weak promotions. They certainly tried to save some money in that
department. The music didn’t help at all. A below average album
that is. Myself being a huge music addict, I didn’t listen to
even one track in its entirety.
Chay is made for the Tamil Film Industry and audience. They love
the realistic and sensible acting. Thats why SK, VJS, Dhanush
and all are warmly accepted and loved. They love to see the
actors as someone among them. This larger than life heroes ain’t
accepted and Chay can’t pull off such characters either. He
becomes super cringe and awkward.
That said, I’m pretty mad Sam is currently having the laugh
😒😑😑
