About Us

The Circle of the Evening Star is a coven of Goddess-Centered
Witches, in the San Antonio area.
The CES is a group of mature adults who are secure in who they
are, their individual paths and their relationships with the
Goddess and God, building a strong foundation to provide
teaching and support to our local Pagan community.
The Coven meets for all Full and New Moon Esbats, Sabbats, and
monthly classes/discussions. Topics encompass a wide variety of
subjects. Members are encouraged to participate in, contribute
to, and write their own rituals for Esbat and Sabbat
celebrations.
Our Patron Goddess is Inanna; however, rituals and class
discussions are not limited only to the Sumerian pantheon or
theology; we are an Eclectic group, drawing from Ancient
Egyptian, Greek, Celtic, Hindu, Norse, Asian- you name it - in
the construction of our rituals and practice. All members will
be encouraged and supported in their personal journeys along
their Path.
We do have a degree system, similar to that of other Traditions,
though not so strict on timing (for example, if a Dedicant
completes the study material and is able to exhibit a clear
understanding and application of the necessary information,
there is not a set "year and a day" requirement before s/he will
be considered for advancement).
A few goals of the Evening Star include being able to provide
teaching and public rituals and workshops in the not-too-distant
future, as well as clergy services. We have also chosen a few
service projects to work on through the year. We are looking for
like-minded women, who share the desire to serve the community
and provide education to new seekers.
Though an adult group, this coven *is* child-friendly, and there
will be several kid-oriented activities and family events to
include partners and children of all ages. We are offering a
Children's Circle as part of this coven, and our Hierodule (aka
Maiden) is serving as the Children's Coordinator. As a
homeschooling mom myself, I see the need for children's
resources for all parents, and have wanted a place for my kids
to learn with others close in age and with similar beliefs and
values.
Blessings,
