Week 5 Discussion Topic # 1
Experts will tell you that it is important to prepare for an
interview. What type of preparation could and should you do?

There are a wide variety of things you should do before an
interview (as we have discussed to death in our class). The two
major things appear to be first making sure you do research into
the company you are trying to get hired for. The second being
have questions to ask them because based off our guest speakers
that is a major thing in order to show them you actually have
interest in the job to benefit them versus benefiting yourself.

Another key to ensuring a more successful interview is to simply
relax, be yourself, and answer all questions as if you were
talking to an a new friend (By this I mean hitting the points
and steering cautiously).

There is so much helpful information posted throughout the
course of this week. Questions for the interviewer are important
because it shows that you are actually interested. The key is
not to come off as uninterested or scared. You have to
understand that the person interviewing you is human and some
light conversation even outside of the job topic can do wonder.
Like the gold thing for Erin's hiring manager.
