       In this context the debate on political correctness occurs: the
       personal and the political, the public and the private are
       intertwined. We value private moral attitudes from a political
       or partisan logic. We are everyday, day-to-day political
       activists. We patrol public space, but also private spaces,
       asking for accountability.
       Political correctness is an ideologized and manipulated concept,

       signifier into which to introduce countless phobias. It is also
       a general criticism of everything that is minimally left-wing.
       But it starts from a real diagnosis of contemporary politics,
       which is sliding towards a kind of public moralism. As the
       philosopher Félix Ovejero says, there has been "a shift from the
       discussion of principles and proposals to a discussion about
       dealing with principles and proposals"3. There are parts of the
       contemporary left that give excessive importance to moral
       purity, authenticity, integrity and individual behaviors, to the
       detriment of structural criticism or real political action. Does
       this mean that political correctness is exclusively a left-wing
       phenomenon? More or less. Political correctness is transversal
       and has to do with dogmatism and freedom of expression. But one
       of its foundations is the idea that the personal is political, a
       thesis that today is almost exclusively leftist.

       Political correctness is several things: it is a moralizing
       attitude that seeks to correct inequalities through symbols or
       rules of behavior, it is an intervention on language, sometimes
       too naive, that has to do with euphemisms and neologisms, but it
       is also what its critics claim: an orthodoxy or a series of
       values ​​that have become an unquestionable dogma.
