What are the toughest issues facing CBF right now?

The third question was: What are the toughest issues facing CBF
right now that we could research and explore in future
       conferences?
       Some things discussed were:
       1. Parental connection
       2. Appropriate level of discipline (ie "I'm not a parent, what
       is age appropriate)
       3. Developmental levels

We need to get everyone involved. Especially we need teachers
with their class in the worship to supervise them and help
       change the atmosphere of worship.

As a parent, I want to be more involved in what my kids are
doing/learning. I like M.Joseph King's idea that our kids, at
least younger ones, should bring us something like homework we
need to sign, so we know what they are doing and how to help and
       encourage them.

I think signing for the younger grades is a great idea. I wonder
if perhaps it would be good in 1-3 to have one or two questions
that they have to do with parents?
I also really liked your idea of having kids interview their
parents or have discussions. In Bible study this week, I asked
the kids how they know God exists, and of course with childlike
innocence, they had never even considered the question--their
parents say he exists so he does--I asked the kids, "well surely
you guys heard your parents story about why they believed in
God?" Actually, they had never heard the story. So, I assigned
them homework to find out why their parents believed in God and
how they were then changed. It's great! Thanks for the good
       idea.
