These new rules function as "sexual scripts", that is, scenarios
in which sexuality makes sense, but a sexuality disconnected
from people, without the desire for a stable relationship. This
is the script for "light relationships" between individuals.
However, not everyone accepts this new relational logic. Gender
norms on privacy weigh on women's sexuality and limit a
sexuality that is too detached from any marital perspective, or
rather, too "liberated.
Likewise, this type of relationship is more difficult to accept

women, attached to forms of relationship marked by
conjugality.14. Therefore, the discretion of dating apps allows
for partial escape from gender mandates. It allows women from
more controlled social contexts to experience sexuality without
the prospect of a long-term relationship. These applications
give the possibility of a true privatization of intimate
relationships (and of sexual practices), in the sense that they
can escape the regulation of the private life of women and
menfifteen. Likewise, the applications allow people with
minority sexualities ( lgbti to meet each other without the
control of parents or friends.

The development of “leisure sexuality” generates lively and
divisive debates. Some opinions emphasize that the privatization
of practices allows women to emancipate themselves from the
communities in which they are inserted. It can also allow a
break with forms of private life too marked by conjugality,
exclusivity and heteronormative models and thus free individuals
from forms of private life that are too patriarchal. But other
authors rather insist on the very masculine dimension of this
type of sexuality without feeling and without perspective of
stability. In these applications, women would be faced with a
sexuality in which they do not fit and would not be in a
position of strength in the face of male expectations.16. The
anonymity of the meetings would also enable various forms of
transgression, and there are numerous stories of lies and
violence suffered by women in their meetings.
