Congrats to roger and his fans. He continues to rack up titles.

Yes, General Hercules. And curiously enough, for the first time,
I'm seeing many more people daring to say that if he can play
like this for a couple of years, he can do it. Ah, so brave when
the writing is almost on the wall. Whereas before almost
everyone (including his most die-hard fanbase) was speaking
words like delusion, fairy tale dream, he's done, stuff like
that. I would guess that when he gets between 85-90, people
will start going crazy in that thread, saying how lucky he is
that other players are not playing, in decline, injured,
youngsters are poor, and that's the only reason he is still
winning. Others will start a countdown watch. Should be fun!
Respectfully,
masterclass

Congrats to Federer and his fans! His 5th title of the year
after having a down year in 2013 and 82 titles in total. That's
a great achievement.
The final though didn't live up to the expectation. Goffin was
too overwhelmed by the occasion especially against Federer and
the crowd and wasn't able to deliver his true potential. I do
think he would have done better against Federer if this
tournament was played somewhere else, but here, it was just too
much for him. And the fact that he simply worships Federer
didn't help him much either. Not saying he would have won but
perhaps the final would have been more competitive.
But what a year Goffin is having though. I hope he does very
well from next year and on. He's an utter delight to watch.
The Basel trophy is so much better looking than the Valencia
one.
