CETSVids GREATEST PLAYERS
By: CETSVids Date: February 6, 2014, 12:17 pm

Who do YOU think is/was the greatest tennis player of all time?
Truly, Federer? Or maybe Sampras? Navratilova? (She actually has
SO many pluses that she overwhelms comparison to nearly any
other player.)
Here we will not only explore "the greats", but also post MANY
of their matches. Now, yes, noted, I will not be posting all of
approximately 1500 of Federer's matches :o - but considering I
have nearly 200 of them, I can post quite a few. Tell me which
ones you are interested in and I will see if I have them!
For example: Fernando Gonzalez. He probably had one of the best
return of service percentages of all time (stat not taken in his
day), and he routinely would return serves with service winners
- including spinning balls that would drop over the net, then
spin back on his side! I have about 25 of his matches....
Now, if YOU THINK someone is/was great, PLEASE post a response
here and we will see how many of his/her matches we can post.

the greatest of all time is an interesting concept for the fans
in any sport.
inquiring minds always and forever want to know who really is or
was the greatest of all time.
I personally prefer to make a list of all time greats. or at
least that should be the first step in the process anyway.
so here goes. here is a start to this process. I will start the
list---in no particular order--- and then we can keep adding to
it:
1. laver
2. emerson
3. borg
4. Sampras
5. Federer
6. nadal
7. gonzalez (Poncho)
8. tilden
9. don budge
on the wta side:
1. martina Navratilova
2. chris evert
3. Steffi graff
4. serena williams

I don't believe in the GOAT, per se. There are too many greats
in history. And the sport has evolved too much, plus I haven't
seen them all, so my opinion would be too subjective.
I'm just happy to have seen so many in such a short time,
Sampras, Nadal, Federer, and now Djokovic. A tennis lover's
dream.

that is unbelievable stuff about gonzalez.
he was a fan favorite to be sure as well.
if it is not too much trouble perhaps we can have some of his
matches here at Camelot for the world to watch and enjoy.
