Right, General. Nadal is in Majorca recuperating from his
battles and multiple injuries at the AO, and is preparing to go
to Buenos Aires.
David Ferrer is in Javea, Alicante, Spain near his tennis school
resting and preparing for Rio I suppose. I don't see him listed
in any other tournaments prior to that.
I looked around for Spain's "B" team of Robredo and Almagro.
They are already in Vino del Mar in Chile. They are the 2nd
and 3rd seeds.

Fabio Fognini is the #1 seed in Vino del Mar. But right now he
is playing his heart out for Italy against Argentina. He won
his singles match against Juan Monaco, and helped win the key
doubles match with S. Bolelli. He has a chance to seal the win
for his country today. The next rubber is Fognini vs. Berlocq
the Warlock. After today's matches Fognini is expected to make
the trip from Argentina to Chile for the Royal Guard Open.
Spain's 'C' team of Feli Lopez, Fernando Verdasco, Roberto
Bautista and David Marrero, fought well, but were not good
enough to beat the German 'A' team.
I expect Ferrer and/or Nadal will play in the fall relegation
tie to make sure Spain is back in the World Group for next year.

nole is another one who should have played. these opportunities
don't come often.
he lost early at Melbourne. he also skipped the warm-up events
like Doha and Brisbane.
I don't buy that he was mentally physically exhausted. not nole.
he happens to be the fittest tennis player on the planet.
both nole and ferru did not really have good enough reasons to
skip a chance to represent their countries.
now with that being said, what kind of changes would you
recommend for davis cup?

Andy gets the first break but it's so early not sure if he'll be
able to keep it until the end of this set.

Andy takes the 3rd 6-1. US 2 sets to 1 down and yet no loss of
enthusiasm. lol but good for them.
