       Roger Federer: The Road Back
By: masterclass Date: September 16, 2016, 2:09 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
This thread will keep track of Roger Federer's progress back to
the tour from his recovery from his knee injury, getting fit,
work on the courts and finally back on the tour at the beginning
       of 2017.
Here is a nice image of Roger getting some ground work in the
Swiss Alps, backpack and all. High altitude fitness work is
good for the lungs. That and training blocks in the heat of
Dubai is probably why we don't see Roger breathing too hard on
the court. I don't know much about the VO max stuff, General.
I'm sure you can shed some light.

       Awesome thread general.
       Keep it rolling.
Keep us updated on his return to greatness again.
I am convinced that he is going to come back quite strong in
       2017.
I wish him much success in 2017.

Switzerland is such an awesome country.

keep us posted of his progress.

I'll keep you posted General. He actually was practicing on
clay (click link below) at the East End of New York island
during the US Open. (Har-Tru Clay)

He's going from hiking in the high altitude Alps to the Dubai
desert soon, if he is not already there.
       But look at this general:
Roger only played 20 something matches this year, and he is the
World's Leading Athlete with some $60 million in non-prize money
       income (endorsements, etc).

I think he'll be worth a billion or more if he is not already
       close to it.

He is probably the most marketable athlete on the planet after
       Jordan.
Jordan rakes in $100 million a year in endorsement income.
Roger will also get to this level at some point.
Roger is simply too versatile and speaks too many languages
       quite well.

It's just so hard to imagine him ever winning a slam again.
It's just too much at this point.
But I still hold out a sliver of hope.

what is admirable is that he is not willing to sit idle. he is
coming back very strong mentally and physically.
he still has drive and hunger to compete and win.
