       from Brewers Journal, 1914, which has a longish obituary:
       (The full name is: The Western Brewer and Journal of the Barley,
       Malt and Hop Trades. The issue is the April 1914 issue).

       Excellent, Pete!!!  Nice find.
       You cease to amaze me, buddy.
       A couple of things....
       1. Merkel was yet another wealthy panelist on the Coroner's
       Inquest.
       2. He lived in Cleveland from the early 1870s until 1875. George
       Damon was in Cleveland at the same time.
