       Good one, Pete.
I tried hard to find the Bulletin of The Pasteur Society ( 1897
) in which he offered a rebuttal to the tyrosine debate,
       No luck.
He died as a result of being thrown from his carriage in
Suffern, New York in 1900. Fractured skull.

Where is the reference that he published in Bulletin? I think
the Bulletin is a 20th century publication, so it most likely
       had another name in 1897
       Who mentions the article?

"Of further interest is a note in the Bulletin of the Pasteur
Institute for the quarter April-June 1897, providing support for
       Dr. Gibier's
trial testimony regarding possible sources of tyrosine and
contradicting the testimony of the prosecution's experts that it
       could only be found
in the small intestine." -Page 78 Gaslight Lawyers, Richard

       Thank you.
Looks like it can only be found in hardcopy in a research
       library.
Volumes 1893-96 are online but sadly from 1897 onwards it seems
       they are not.

       Thanks for that, Pete.
Strange that Underwood would access the 1897 bulletin just to
mention the tyrosine issue for his book, if it was
       only available in hard copy.

I’ve asked an expert librarian, who is adept at inter library
loans across countries, if he can locate a copy or arrange an
online access. Usually he can, but it may take a while.

Unfortunately my colleague has informed me that the article
       cannot be procured.
Probably because the libraries we cooperate with internationally
do not have a copy of that very limited publication.
Possibly the only way to get a copy would be at the national
library of medicine in Maryland, they at least have a copy of
       the publication.
