       I've included the Lexow Committee Report in this section since
       it was a criminal investigation.
       I've included a PDF written by Brian Rizzo which outlines the
       basis of New York Exposed by Prof. Daniel Cizitrom to give
       readers
       an idea of what the Committee was about.
       The original efforts of Rev. Parkhurst to focus on vice in
       Manhattan led to Teddy Roosevelt tackling it when he became the
       president of police commissioners in the city. These were the
       forerunners of the Lexow Committee ( 1894-1895).
