I remember being taken in by the series, Making A Murderer, when
it was broadcast on Netflix several years ago. I thought that
there was a distinct possibility that Steven Avery may have
framed by the police department in his hometown of Manitowoc,
Wisconsin for the murder of a young woman in 2005.
Over time, my position radically changed especially when I
learned that an alarming number of facts were either
misrepresented, distorted, or omitted in that ten-part series
that catapulted Avery's name into the mainstream. The two women
who produced the series won several awards and were the
recipients of numerous accolades.
Numerous websites and organized public demonstrations for
Avery's release were found across the country.
With no further ado, I want to share this link to the
ten-program series, Convicting A Murderer, which covers every
aspect of the Avery case that the original series didn't. The
perfect antidote to the decade-long litany of lies in the
Wisconsin case.
It's a shame in a way because this series won't achieve viral
status like the original series did some 9 years ago.

This series reminded me instantly of the Brown Case.
Similarities between the Steven Avery saga and George Damon in
the Carrie Brown case:
1. Allegations of faulty scientific evidence presented by the
prosecution against Avery & Ali
2. Concerted effort to frame Ali and Avery by the police
3. Key used to convict Avery
4. Key used to get Ali released
5. Minimal blood evidence used to convict Ali
6. Minimal blood evidence ( car hood, key, ignition switch) used
to convict Avery
7. Allegations of past instances of misogyny against Ali were
minimalized by the defense
8. Allegations of past misogyny against Avery underreported
9. Eventual revelations not covered in the Avery documentary
were brought to life only after the
general consensus came to the conclusion he was innocent
10. Unauthenticated aspects of Damon's affidavits were
eventually revealed after only after the general
consensus concluded that Ali was innocent.
11. Avery released after being in prison for a decade ( actually
18 years ) for a crime
that he didn't commit.
12. Ali released after being in prison for a decade for a crime
that he may have committed.
13. Damon's involvement was accepted as being proof Ali was
innocent
14. Belief in police mishandling of evidence and prejudice
against Avery accepted as proof
of his innocence by the public.
15. A substantial number of intentionally omitted facts and the
presentation of incomplete statements.
16. Even today, people still believe Avery was framed despite an
overwhelming amount of evidence.
17. The post-trial life of the lead prosecutor in the Avery
trial, Ken Kratz, became a central topic although
Avery's trial took place 4 years after Kratz's life began to
unravel. The producers of Making A Murderer
incorporated irrelevant incidents involving Kratz ( Who IS an
asshole, no doubt ) into the Avery case for obvious reasons.
18. Although never once charged with a crime, either before or
after the Lexow Committee in 1895, Inspector Byrnes
has been accused of wrongdoing in the Ali case.
The two women did a great disservice to the public in
fabricating a propaganda piece for a sick, guilty man, back in
2015.
Did George Damon do the people of the State of New York a
similar disservice when he popped up like a gopher ten years
after the
Brown murder occurred?
