Limited Number Of Letters

Unlike other sensational murders where we find numerous people
writing letters claiming to either know the murderer, have a
solution to the murder, or claim to be the murderer, this case
has few examples of written messages to the press or
authorities.
The first is from the Fall River Globe in April 1891.

In one newspaper, I recall reading where Byrnes received a
letter with the word, 'Hell' on it. I can't recall the
newspaper that contained that article.
Here's one that pre-dates the Brown Murder:

One of the tour guides in London claimed on his blog that the
1893 letter received at Scotland Yard was similar to the From
Hell letter as the 1893 letter had a piece of liver affixed as
did From Hell, five years earlier, and that a reference to
Carrie Brown was included.
That's false. I knew about the 1893 letter but there's no
reference to Carrie Brown in that letter.
This is from that person's blog in case someone comes across it.
As quickly as the murders began, they stopped just as fast.
Nothing more was heard from the killer for two years, until a
newspaper received another letter from Jack in 1893, talking
about Carrie Brown’s murder. A policeman from Scotland Yard
inspected the letter, finding that the handwriting matched that
of the ‘From Hell’ letter.
Of course, this could just have been the work of a dedicated
copycat killer, or indeed just pure coincidence. However, as the
finer details of Jack the Ripper are still shrouded in mystery
even today, it is possible that the Ripper could have indeed
found his way to New York.
I've included a Pall Mall Gazette article in PDF which mentions
this letter but without any reference to Brown or the New York
murder.

A letter from December 1892..... Bleecker Street, designated by

Not too far from Police Headquarters, at the bottom, on Mulberry
Street.

This Case's 'Dear Boss' Letter......Sort of.
There aren't many examples of letters sent to the press or
Inspector Byrnes in this case.
One early report from the Fall River Globe on April 25th gives
the impression that Byrnes had
a letter written by either the murderer or someone with too much
frigging time on their hands
on April 25th.
However, as this clip states, Byrnes was in possession of the
'Hell' letter back in late 1889.

Unless another letter surfaces in the future, it appears the
Riggs House letter, received on May 7th,
may have been the first letter written to Byrnes or the New York
press. In this case, it was the Evening World.

The author of the Riggs Letter claimed he sent Byrnes letters (
none were ever mentioned by the Inspector) on
stationery from hotels in these cities.
