Pete:
Yep...the address for Mary Briscoe in 1888 was up in Yorkville (
173 9th Street ). That's seven miles from the hotel.
Buddy, maybe she was using her maiden name and was married to a
plasterer from Oliver Street, but with a different surname.
Carrie Brown never reverted to Montgomery, her maiden name.
On the other hand, Mary Miniter doesn't seem to have used her
briefly married name of Lynch.
When Mary Healey was arrested in January 1892, she was married
to a one-legged man named Johnson. When asked why she
didn't go by his name by the Judge, she told him that she had
made her reputation by the name Healy and decided to retain it.
::) ::) ::)
Her picter was all in de papers, Pete, dinnit ya sees it? ;D

Yes, I thought about that too, it’s very possible that she
married but still used her maiden name.
Several of these women used nicknames or alternative names,
which makes it difficult to find them or know if it’s really
them - we just had the example of a woman called Nellie English
in the papers, real name Sarah Deluna - how does that make
sense?!?
