       This is reporter Charles S. Salomon, who co-signed an affidavit
       with Ovide Robillard in 1901.
       At the time of the affidavit, he was just 27 years old. He began
       working for the Tribune in that same year.
       He's responding to a weekly column in the New York Daily News,
       called The Inquiring Photographer.
       The question was whether or not New Yorkers should be allowed to
       sleep in the parks during the summer heat.
