       In Helen Campbellīs book Darkness and Daylight, 1892,

       The following sketch of some women in Florence Night Mission can
       be seen. The sketch was made from a photograph, which was then
       converted to sketch.

       The woman on the right, head down, is Carrie Brown.

       This was the Florence Night Mission, 21-23 Bleecker Street:

       It is noted that anyone entering the Florence Night Mission had
       to sign the register. Iīve tried to look if the Missionīs
       archives still exist, it seems they reside in University of
       Minnesota, but only date from 1895.

       Two pages after the page you posted ( page 229 ) is the sketch
       we used for the cover of East Side Story ( on page 231) !!!
