       Mary Miniter & The Mandala Effect

       Earlier this morning, if you had a handgun to my head and asked
       me to swear that Mary Miniter's trial
       testimony was in the New York papers under her name, I'd have
       sworn to it......and been shot.
       The only time Mary Miniter's correct name is found is in this
       one-liner from the New York
       Evening World published on June 29th, the day she testified.
       This is it....
       "They were Mary Miniter, the woman who admitted the sexagenarian
       Carrie Brown, and her male companion that night...."
       The shitty New York Herald had this misleading paragraph
       regarding her testimony.
       The Herald's reportage was like their sketch artists. Shit.

       The last witness was Mary Minetur,(sic) the girl who assigned a
       room to Shakespeare and the missing fair-haired man on the night
       of the murder. She told her story over again as it has often
       been told in these columns. She didn't know who Shakespeare's
       companion was or whether he had a mustache or hazel eyes or fair
       hair. "He was tall and lightish," said Mary. "I thought he might
       have hazel eyes because he was light-complexioned. The man
       certainly was not Frenchy."
       Miniter's trial testimony said otherwise. From Day One, she
       mentioned C. Kniclo having had a light mustache.
       The reporter for the Herald makes a typical mistake for that rag
       when he said Miniter didn't know whether the man had a
       moustache.
       Miniter was the only person to see Brown and C. Kniclo together
       at the hotel...and was the one who said he had a moustache!
       The New York Sun had two paragraphs of generic statements under
       the name Minnie Miniter....
       ...and that's it.
       Nina was telling me some about some  Mandala Effect incidents
       yesterday....today I had my own Mandala Effect experience.
       I can't believe her trial testimony wasn't published.
