       Constable J. Richmond Hiland and Justice Scheper are two of the
       witnesses who have been requested by the lawyers
       who are defending Frenchy No. 1 to appear in New York when the
       notorious prisoner is arraigned.
       Frenchy was arrested in Newtown on the 12th day of last month
       for begging. He had his arm in a sling to create the
       impression that it was broken, which afterwards proved to be a
       "fake." The Constable thoroughly searched him
       on that occasion, but found no knife, despite the published
       assertions that such a weapon was found on the alleged murderer
       of Shakespeare.
       He didn't participate in trial proceedings. Hiland did.
