Started in September 2020 with exclusive dedication, this
project is now entering its final phase. Publication is
scheduled for this coming December, following the conclusion of
an editing and proofreading stage whose complexity has matched
that of the research itself.
Following the consolidation of my tour agency in 2024, I have
taken a definitive step by establishing Whitechapel Historical
Group Ltd. Under this entity, I have unified both the
operational management of the tours —Whitechapel Tours— and the
creation of my own publishing imprint —Whitechapel Press—, under
which the work will be published.
The mockup was originally created for functional use on the web,
but I am being won over by its minimalist aesthetic, as it
aligns with the style of the work (sobriety and clarity).
This work has been designed under a principle of minimal
intrusion. Value judgments and emotional adjectivization have
been removed; likewise, no term, theory, or subsequent analysis
that might constitute an anachronism has been included. The text
strictly adheres to the facts recorded in contemporary sources
to avoid contaminating the account, thereby recovering absolute
fidelity to time and place.
The project was born with the objective of offering a
comprehensive historical reconstruction. The book records the
socio-political and cultural environment, covering all aspects
that defined the reality of the era, and offers equitable
treatment of the eleven victims in the file plus the case of
Carrie Brown, dedicating the same level of detail and
documentary weight to each.
