       The 1895 Barbieri ( actually, Marie Barbella) and 1898 Kennedy (
       Dr. Samuel, and actually a dentist) trials
       were as sensational as the 1897 Guldensuppe.  Sliney confessed
       to Inspector Byrnes in 1892.
       Friend and Fred House were two of Kennedy's attorneys for the
       first of the dentist's three trials.
