       A somewhat silly claim in this excerpt from the NY Times.....

       At the Coroner's Inquest, Sam Shine said that the hotel policy
       was to not allow single fellas up on the fifth floor.
       Ali, for one example, did just that on Wednesday the 22nd and
       Thursday, the 23rd of April.

       Assuming for a minute here that the NY Times reporter was told
       the following....I wonder what the reasoning would be
       behind this 'rule'.  I recognize that the word 'rule' is between
       scare quote marks.

       * If we assume that a woman was 'finished' with her client,
       would she leave the hotel and loiter outside for another client?
       * It seems draconian, even for 1891, since men usually left the
       rooms they rented after they were 'finished' with the females
       they'd brought to the rooms....but a woman couldn't or that it
       was considered an undesirable practice.
