Hi there Young Curtis,
Yes, its a bugger getting old, I do not
think I could get along to a boarding school any more,
with a mile walk over the hills before breakfast
sadly those days are gone..
Great to hear Timmins is still on the go
and send him my very best wishes,
Hope you can get along to a school day soon
Regards from Beril..

HOMEWORK
The Headmistress has now released the homework for the next
Mixed School Day
on Saturday 10th June 2017, starting at 12.00 lunchtime.
Beril can you please put the following homework on the School
Board. :-
I want everyone to think of a film and describe it, without
mentioning the title,
It mustn't be too obscure, and I want at least 6 pointers for
the class to guess
what the film is.
Can someone bring a pack of chalk, we have run out.

I have just written to our Newly Elected M.P. at the House of
Commons in London,
Mr Mike Amesbury Labour M.P. for Liverpool South
all the way to St Helens and Warrington,
He beat that damned tory Evans by 4,000 votes
Congratulations.

Hats off to Jeremy Corbin for dealing a well deserved slap in
the face to the rottweiler press. To come from so far behind a
month ago to forcing a hung parliament, is the political
equivalent of a volcanic eruption.
Teresa May is now a broken prime minister.

I'm in full agreement,Price.
She called the electorate on the grounds of asking the country
to give her a much bigger mandate to take into the Brexit talks.
Instead the electorate rejected that and she lost her majority.
Anyone with any integrity would have resigned.
It was a tale of two manifestos:
Labour at long last offered a proper socialist manifesto which
appealed to all ages and backgrounds. Some say it was their best
since 1945. Whilst the Tories produced an absolute shocker with
more austerity and disgraceful attacks on the elderly and the
sick.
The next election cant come quick enough for me

Slater: Glad to see we are in agreement over the recent General
Election. It was pleasing to see that the government has had to
drop much of its own manifesto due to the impossibility of
getting the measures through Parliament, having no overall
majority in the Commons.
An amusing aspect of this was their pre election assertion
that they could not lift the cap on public service pay because
there is no "money tree" It now transpires that they were able
to find one billion pounds as a bung to the DUP as the price of
their support in the House of Commons! So it seems there is a
money tree after all growing in Theresa May's garden!
Curtis: YesI do remember Belinda from the old days; a genial
character and a good friend. Both he and Sherwin will be missed
by all of us who knew them.
You will be interested to know as you read it that my
book has been warmly received generally according to the
publishers, to add to the kind praise from you, from Goldie and
from the Headmistress.Thank you; it enables me to feel pride in
the achievement.
As to the cheap and nasty sneer about its being "rubbish
and useful only for toilet paper" that sprang from a manic voice
from this board, I can well afford to ignore such crass
ignorance. If it had come from someone who is intelligent it
would have been hurtful but given the actual source in this
case, it just evokes pity in a sad sort of way.

Glad you found the reply button Master Price. Belinda was fun
if a bit over the top. He was also a well qualified engineer as
well as being a dab hand with needle and cotton.
His wife has taken advantage of the families holiday homes and
has been away in Crete and now is off to Devon. I am doing
likewise and enjoying myself while I still can.
