I worked at Frankston North Community Centre.
I found a few things interesting that in the Frankston North
Community Centre as they do a variety of new and interesting
things for the community, such as creating plastic blankets for
the homeless that are waterproof and insulated. I mainly did
busywork, such as helping in the kitchen and cleaning up after
the community carols, the people working there were nice, but I
didn't really 'Click' with the work i was doing

I was surprised I could sit in place for over an hour sorting
and folding sheets of paper and medical forms, something I would
have never done when I was younger, though I still have an
unknown motive to get up and move around. my work involved
printing, folding paper, organising and sorting out letters with
envelopes and having them all ready to be sent off. The
workplace was quite small, standing in the place you could see
the areas where employees would eat and rest, the restrooms and
even all the spare dozen stacks of paper that were at the back
       of the room.

@Black_angel08 it's good to see people working at Community
Centre's nice to know Frankston North is helping the homeless,
I'm sure they will really appreciate the blankets, and making
all those stars to help stop violence, that's a lot of stars,
but it's great seeing kind dedicated people working hard to help
       others and those in need.

I learned so many things like how to communicate with the
customers politely, how to work as a team and rely on each
other, don’t force yourself to do something on your own, and I
learned how to make prawn crackers. My duties at my placement is
most likely serving customers sometimes I help out in the
kitchen like chopping veggies, meat etc. Sometimes I do the
dishes if the dishwasher is not present. If I have to describe
my work placement in that restaurant it's basically just like a
one big family it's because we communicate a lot and help each
other out so you feel so comfortable working.

different job roles and responsibilities that are involved in an
age care home, I always just assumed that there were carers and
cleaners but it is actually more complex and strict process to
everything then you would think, it has really given me a more
in-depth look at what my mum does for a living. while being
there I had to do a number of thing like talk to the residents,
massage the residents hands, hand out meals, hand out mail, read
the mail to them and on the last day I was stuck in the laundry
room, believe it or not laundry was the hardest and had the most
rules and regulations. the workplace was really calmed and laid
back, I think they try and make it as calm and as boring as they
can for the old people, the staff were all really nice and I
really liked the fact that there were a large variety in age
       cultures and experience.

its a hard and dirty job but it makes good money. if i just know
how to deal with elderly i would do this job since its easy to
       get in to it.
