       Geocaching Acronyms and Glossary

       New to Geocaching? Like many pastimes, Geocaching has its own
       language! The jargon is always evolving, but here are some of
       the most commonly used terms along with some slightly more
       obscure ones. Also included in italics are some CacheWalker
       acronyms, so if you've been wondering what 'CWSBC' or 'ABH'
       mean, see below!  :)
       If you think the list is missing anything, feel free to let me

       [li]ABH - Another Bloomin' Hill. A pharse coined by bikermel76
       while tackling one of Wrighty's caches.[/li]
       [li]Archived - Caches that no longer exist.   [/li]
       [li]BOT - Bowl Of Tree or Base Of Tree [/li]
       [li]BYOP - Bring Your Own Pen [/li]
       [li]Cacher - also known as Geocacher, Terracacher or Opencacher.
       Someone who finds caches.[/li]
       [li]Challenge cache - requires cachers to to meet a requirement
       before logging.[/li]
       [li]CITO - Cache In Trash Out event[/li]
       [li]CND - Cache 'n' Dash [/li]
       [li]CO - Cache Owner [/li]
       [li]CW - CacheWalker[/li]
       [li]CWFC - CacheWalker Footballer's Challenge, our Travel Bug
       race for 2014.[/li]
       [li]CWSBC - CacheWalker SuperBike Challenge, our annual Travel
       Bug race.[/li]
       [li]D/T - Difficulty / Terrain. The rating system for
       geocaches.[/li]
       [li]Disabled - CO's can temporarily disable cache listings if
       they require maintenance. [/li]
       [li]DNA – Did Not Attempt [/li]
       [li]DNF - Did Not Find [/li]
       [li]DNL – Did Not Look [/li]
       [li]FF – First Finder (this term tends to be used only on
       terracaching.com) [/li]
       [li]FLTF - Full Log To Follow[/li]
       [li]FP – Favourite Point. Premium Member's can award these to
       their favourite geocaches.[/li]
       [li]FTF - First To Find. Bragging rights that you were the first
       to find a newly placed cache.[/li]
       [li]GC - Geocoin. Custom minted coins which are trackable. They
       can be placed in caches, or collected.[/li]
       [li]Geocaching - A real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game
       using GPS-enabled devices.[/li]
       [li]GPS - Global Positioning System[/li]
       [li]GPSr - Global Positioning System Receiver[/li]
       [li]GPX - GPS eXchange Format (A file type used by GPSr's) [/li]
       [li]GZ - Ground Zero (refers to the vicinity of the cache's
       hiding spot) [/li]
       [li]ICP – Ivy Covered Post [/li]
       [li]ICT – Ivy Covered Tree [/li]
       [li]LHS - Left Hand Side[/li]
       [li]LN - Left Nothing [/li]
       [li]LOC – LOCations file format (a simple XML file, Extensible
       Markup Language) for representing a set of geographic locations.

       [li]LPC - Light Pole Cache [/li]
       [li]MKH – Magnetic Key Holder [/li]
       [li]MTT – Multi Trunked Tree [/li]
       [li]Muggle - A non-geocacher[/li]
       [li]Muggled - the discovery of a geocache by a muggle.[/li]
       [li]NQF - Nice Quick Find[/li]
       [li]NV - Nice View[/li]
       [li]P&G - Park & Grab [/li]
       [li]PAF - Phone A Friend [/li]
       [li]PQ - Pocket Query[/li]
       [li]QEF - Quick Easy Find [/li]
       [li]Reviewer - Community volunteers who review geocaches before
       they are published online.[/li]
       [li]RHS - Right Hand Side[/li]
       [li]Signature item - Something unique that a geocacher places in
       every cache they find[/li]
       [li]SL - Signed Log [/li]
       [li]SLTN - Signed Log Took Nothing [/li]
       [li]SOOP - Something Out Of Place [/li]
       [li]STF – Second To Find [/li]
       [li]SWAG - Stuff We All Get [/li]
       [li]TB - Travel Bug. Trackable items which travel from cache to
       cache.[/li]
       [li]TBD - Travel Bug Drop [/li]
       [li]TFTC - Thanks For The Cache [/li]
       [li]TFTE - Thanks For The Event [/li]
       [li]TFTFTF - Thanks For The First To Find (or TF3) [/li]
       [li]TFTH/T4TH - Thanks For The Hide [/li]
       [li]TN - Took Nothing [/li]
       [li]TNLN - Took Nothing, Left Nothing [/li]
       [li]TOTT - Tool Of The Trade [/li]
       [li]TTF – Third To Find [/li]
       [li]Twixmas - The period between Christmas and New Year. A
       CacheWalker event is traditionally held every Twixmas. [/li]
       [li]UPR – Unnatural Pile of Rocks [/li]
       [li]UPS - Unusual Pile of Sticks [/li]
       [li]YAPIDKA – Yet Another Park I Didn’t Know About[/li]

       As I come across any, I'll add.
       Question: Should the definition of Cacher be changed, as they
       might have found a Terracache or Opencache or yes, a Geocache?
