Condicote Village Hall looks nice.
Can make a small circular, some lane walking towards Hinchwick
Manor then footpaths etc back to Condicote.
Says on there web site they welcome walking parties.

Sounds great [member=9]Wrighty[/member]. Super hall and I know
the footpaths in the area are good. Would you place the caches
then? :)
If you need to, many of the Hinchwick Valley caches (which I
adopted) are in poor state so I could archive the ones nearer to
the Manor to make space if you need to.

Twist my arm but the hall needs to be sorted out first which i
will leave for someone else.
There is also a chance for A Fine Pair cache in the Village.

Condicote does seem like a good location, and I'm sure a good
route can be sorted, looking at the map there are opportunities.
Alternatively, if there's a struggle in finding places to hide
caches, there's always the option of walking somewhere else and
then coming back to the venue, but there is an issue of parking.
How did you do this in the past when you followed this format?
As you said, the hall needs to be booked first, but it's
something to consider beforehand.
So, these are our five options:
[list]
[li]Condicote (with [member=9]Wrighty[/member] caches)[/li]
[li]Todenham or other convenient location (with
[member=3]walktall[/member] caches)[/li]
[li]Shenington (with Marrow Bone caches)[/li]
[li]Tysoe (with Marrow Bone caches)[/li]
[li]Northend + Burton Dassets Hills (with Marrow Bone
caches)[/li]
[/list]
I'm leaning towards Condicote for this year, personally - but
they're all fantastic options and I'd be happy with any of them
;D
Your preferences?

We shall have a good opportunity to discuss this at the Plough
on the 15th.

Yes, the Plough is the place to talk. Some more food for
thought. As I said, Condicote is my preferred option BUT have
been doing some research with regards to the cost of hiring the
hall.
£11 an hour, 2013's Twixmas had the hall booked for 5, so that's
£55. If we want access to the kitchen and its facilities, add
£15 - £70 :o
Compared to £30 in 2013 (£6/hour) and £28 (£7/hour for 4 hours)
in 2014.
We'll need a lot of participation in the raffle :D
It does say "£40 - up to 4 hours" so we could shorten it, but
that could still be £55 overall. Let's also remember we have
some money left over from other events. :)
So do you think this could be a problem?
I guess that's the main advantage of holding it in a pub,
there's hardly ever this sort of charge, but it is some added
hassle. In some ways, I really miss Twixmas/Twinew pub events...
but then I remember the hassle :D

Condicote for me.
Kitchen charge only applies if cooking no charge for making
tea/coffee etc.
5 hours £55. 30 Cachers two pound each easy peasy.
Hopefully will be out that way tomorrow looking at a walk route.

Have sent an email to enquire about Condicote Village Hall, just
to get the ball rolling.
Will post here letting you know what they say once I get a
reply. :)
