See GC4V29J

What's your take on this? Do you think hidden dates should be
accurate?
To be honest, I didn't even know it allowed to you to further
back than 2000 :o
You can vote in the poll above or simply add a reply :)

Cachers have already complained about the date on that cache and
I've dropped an email to the CO.
Perhaps it should go up a level to a Reviewer ???
That date should be roughly accurate but years out :o

I agree, but have you noticed that a reviewer DID reply and said
it was fine since there isn't a guideline against it :o :o :o

No not noticed that ........................ just had a look and
see the comment was made today
There is nothing in the guidelines to say that the hidden
date must be accurate.

That is plain stupid :o >:( So many rules GS have but allow any
date anyone wants ???
But, at least I now know how to complete my Jasmer Challenge ;)

When creating a new cache, you get this message if the date
range is wrong:
Please enter a date no less than one year ago and no
greater than tomorrow.
But then you can edit the date afterwards to what you want, so
I'm going for 3rd May 2000 - any use to anyone ;)

In short I think there should be a guideline for the hide date,
otherwise what is the point of having one.

Agree, so I'm tempted to publish my cache with the placed date
of 3 May 2000 and see what the Reviewer says :-X

Date should be no older than when the cache page was started.
And no editing of the date, other than to make it more recent.
eg, You start a page a month ago and edit the date to todays
date before submitting for review...

I think this should be the case.
The odd thing with this cache is that, from my view of it, there
is no apparent reason for the 1982 date?? Has anyone else
spotted why it's even there?
I see a couple of people have posted notes on the page, maybe if
more of us do it'll be changed? :D

The only ones I now need are all Year 2000: May, Sept, Oct and
Nov.
Sept is the only one I can get in Europe, there are two, one
near Copenhagen
HTML http://coord.inf
o/GC6A, the other near Helsinki
HTML http://coord.inf
o/GC72.
So: May, Oct or Nov 2000 please ::)
