Discover Trackables

Use it, or ignore it. Discuss it if you feel inclined.
I have little more to say about it other than... Not saying I
haven't logged virtual trackables in the past, and I may again
in the future depending on how they are presented and the
reasoning at the time. But I am not going to sit armchair mass
logging of hundreds of trackables I have never seen just for the
numbers.

:o
The original idea was that the trackable number was 'secret' and
only cachers who had physical seen the TB could discover it.
Can you hire someone to discover the coins for you :P ;D ;D ;D
;D ;D ;D ;D

Ha ha!! :o
I completely disagree with that too... I mean, everyone plays
the game how they want to, but I can't imagine anyone feeling
right about doing it, as WT see it's all about seeing the
trackable...
And a UK-based account, hope it's not a CacheWalker amongst us
;) :D
I was thinking the other day, trackables are unique to
Geocaching.com, there isn't an alternative scheme on any other
site, right?

Opencaching (The proper one!) has GeoKrety.

HTML http://geokrety.org/index.php?lang=en_EN.UTF-8
GeoKrety (gr. geo = ‘earth’, krety pol. = ‘moles’) is a
service similar to TravelBug(TM) or GeoLutins, aiming at
tracking objects you leave in geocache containers. People move
these registered objects (called GeoKrety) from cache to cache
and register each move with this service. The trip of each
GeoKret is then presented on a map.
The service is absolutely free (contrary to TravelBug) and easy
to use. A GeoKret can be anything, but in most cases it is a
small puppet.
Sometimes found in Groundspeak caches (usually in Europe) and
can be marked in OpenCaches as being in GS caches.
You don't need to register to log a Retrieve/Drop if you are not
an OpenCacher.
(Unlike GS where you have to register!)
Not too sure about the 'Easy to use' as the site seems to be
down on a regular basis...

As B&R stated.. GeoKrety. I put one out recently, it hasn't
moved yet. I actually put it out with no expectations for it to
move at all considering the goal I put on it GKAC4D
HTML http://geokrety.org/konkret.php?id=44109,
but if it does move
some time then well, good :) It has a travel flea attached too.
Does anyone know what they are? (not a pop quiz :D )
On the original subject, not that I want to dwell on it myself,
I do hope that the trackable numbers being shown for logging
have all been given permission by their owners. I would be more
than miffed if any of mine found there way to be internet
logged.

I've moved on a GeoKrety a long time ago, not seen one since.

Ahh, I had forgotten about GeoKrety's - I remember
[member=51]SangueG[/member] put one in a CC movable cache :)
Does Terracaching.com not have a similar scheme then?
