That's interesting, perhaps they are set to encourage
smartphones over GPS receivers? (see 'The Demise of the GPS
receiver'
HTML http://cachewalker.createaforum.com/caching-gear-tech-talk/the-demise-of-the-gps-receiver/<br
/>and feel free to revive)
I have noticed that in 'What is Geocaching' descriptions GS now
put smartphones before GPS'!!
I don't think I've read anyone say something notably positive
about them... do you think Lab Caches will last much longer?
???
I think we need to be able to create them on a regular basis for
them to survive.

Is was about a year before GS had had enough of all the bad
press on Challenge Caches before they (GS) chucked out their
toys and Challenges vanished ::)
So, give them a year :o But I still don't understand what they
are trying to do with them ???

What's a Lab cache????
I can't even be bothered to read up about them.

Brilliant, TJ! :D Did anyone place you one for the Feb 2014
thing ???
One thing I don't even understand is if Lab Caches are virtual
or not - the one [member=3]walktall[/member] set for me was, so
doesn't this completely contradict their anti-virtual views?

Ummmm, nope. Not sure I would have found it if they had.
Sorry if this is the wrong idea but mostly (not always though) I
do caches for the location or another particular reason. I would
find the cache whether it was traditional, multi, puzzle or any
other type. Just don't see why we need Lab caches, happy to be
proved wrong though.

That's a great way to put it!
As per my previous post, if they are allowed to be virtual then
this gives people an opportunities to share good sights and
monuments :)

I would say they are like Opencaching.org virtuals, you just
need to collect a code that allows you to log them :)

Yes, so why can't they just call them Virtual Caches ::)
Have opencaching.org reacted to their sort-of-stolen idea? :D

That's good news! :)
But do lab cache pages exist as they do for other types ???
