No, edit it in as otherwise it won't be too clear :) they won't
notice ;)
But yay :)

Brilliant you got it published. ;D
What did the reviewer object to about the walk, when other
reviewers in previous years have been OK with how it was worded?

Can anyone see any objections to an announcement
- ' Some of the Cachewalkers will be meeting for a group walk 10
for 10.30 All are welcome to join in'
Or something like that?
I would put it as an announcement and closer to the date with
(hopefully) lots of 'will attend', announce it again :)

Hooray! It's published. ;D ;D ;D
I have left out the walk so everybody let's meet at 10 for
10.30 for a 3.5 mile walk - there MAY BE (cough cough) 15 new
caches .

Event page looks good, well done ;D
Does this mean, having now read the Event page, that the Event
officially starts at the same time as we go for a wonder ???

It seemed easier to start at the walk time as we had to omit the
walk in the listing to give people a chance to come on time. We
have booked the hall from 10 anyway.
The original wording they objected to was copied and pasted from
the 2013 event for both the pre- event walk and the raffle so
who knows.
As the time is so short, I thought it was better to comply for
now....

Yes :)
If I were you I'd just edit it in so it's clearer for everyone
reading the page :) Announce it too! :)
The page looks great, you've done a good job! I'll link to it on
the forum and our Twitter feed later!

Oh, just noticed: being picky, but please may you capitalise the
'w' in 'Cachewalker' :D
About to publicise the event ;D

Aaaaaaaaghhh! >:( >:( >:( :( :(
The reviewer spotted the edit so I have removed it under threat
of being archived.
I have sent him the GC codes of previous events but he seems
decided.

Well, next time I do an Event that includes a walk, I can see
I'm going to have a disagreement and I'll push the reviewer.
My last Event, Ice Mob Event
HTML http://coord.inf
o/GC5C644, the reviewer said I needed to remove
the word 'Ice' due to the link with the popular Ice Bucket
challenge but I refused as the Event wasn't raising money and
there were no links to any charity. They gave in :)

No point in quoting previous caches, the reviewer will quote the
"Precedent" guideline.
Suggestion. (As events are supposed to be about the meet, and
not caching - according to the guidelines)
Other stuff:
Caches
As is traditional with CacheWalker events, new caches may be
released on the day. There are a few existing caches
nearby.
Remove the "New caches" bit. May be better to remove all mention
of caches...
You could try adding: "There will be a walk prior to the event,
for those that wish to work up an appetite..." But keep it BELOW
the event details...
Last ditch attempt is to post walk details in a log... They seem
to be exempt from being part of the 'Listing' may need to be
repeated if lots of cachers log a Will Attend, and could be less
trouble if one of the other CacheWalkers post it...

the reviewer was ok with new caches MAYBE released on the day
I like the idea of another CacheWalker posting a note to see if
anyone wants to join them for a walk 10.30 ish - feel free
anyone!
