What is the strangest thing you have found whilst out Geocaching
?

A conversation I was just having off of the boards made me think
I would ask here also. I have found a number of odd things I
would not expect to find in the places that I found them,
including underwear hung in trees! What is the strangest thing
you have found whilst out Geocaching?

Off the top of my head, not a whole load, but one that springs
to mind was a bright coloured plastic child's tricycle wedged
halfway up a tree.

I found this:

I have also found a £5 note under a cattle water trough along
with an 'interesting' magazine. Well Roxy sniffed it out
actually. I did take a photo, but not suitable for here. The
things that go on during the night in the woods :D

What an exciting life you lot seem to have, the most interesting
thing I have found is a sheep with its head stuck in a fence.
And it had the good grace to kick me in the shin when I rescued
it.

How kind of the sheep! Hope it didn't hurt you too much.
That does remind me of one find I had around the lake near that
pub event I did last year that you came to after you completed
the GCW series. It was some months before that, but we found a
duck that had got caught up in a fishing line and was in quite a
lot of distress. I didn't attempt to untangle myself, but did
find a nearby fisherman that managed to cut it loose without too
much harm to it.

Brilliant thread!
Not quite us, but when we were on Harris and Lewis for one of
Simply Paul's do's a couple of the other cachers attending found
an unexploded bomb and had the Bomb Disposal crew out to
"remove" it! They really enjoyed that.
On the same trip we were driving down through Lewis when we were
flagged down by a woman who's house had smoke just starting to
come out of the roof, the roof space was on fire, that had been
converted into a living area and her Sister was till up there.
While L rang 999 from her mobile, there was no house phone, I
tried to get the sister out but, sadly, failed. Had lots of
forms to fill in at the Police Station afterwards - an
experience we don't wish to have again.
On a lighter side, there's a bit of an old toilet cistern near
LQ:Worcestershire, somebody found that and reported the cache as
trashed!
We've found some monster slugs (and inadvertently picked a few
up - ugg!) with caches that have been in holes and in trees.
Looking forward to hearing more stories....

Think i have seen the same items in the above photos, were they
on the way to the Rendcomb Rat Run cache?.
Found some old safes recently on a series at Church Lench after
reading a previous log.

That just reminded me, I found a set of cutlery in the hedge
line finding a cache, trying to remember which cache it was.
Brought some of it home as I thought they would be handy for
diy/dog knifes/etc :)

While hunting for a cache in a hedge in Yorkshire we cam across
a box which we at first assumed to be the cache, but it only
contained a key.
The real cache was a few feet away.
