Explorer 190 Map
By: L8HNB Date: January 12, 2014, 1:22 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone have an Explorer 190 map they could have a look at
for me please?
We are hoping to add to this cache series
HTML http://www.pppgeo.co.uk/explorer.html
HTML http://www.pppgeo.co.uk/explorer.html
and to get the cache
underway I need to know what the area of the map covers is - I
need the OS Grid co-ordinates of the North East and South West
corners on the map. I'm asking because we can't get to a map
shop anytime this week and would like to get this under way.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Henry.

B & R - thanks for looking, did the same and drew a blank!
Yorkshire Yellow - thanks for the details! Hope to do a few
more caches towards yours soon, I thought we would have quite a
few but when I ran the macro it was only 32 :'(
I did try to run the macro to see what squares were available to
find but it didn't work. I was a bit tired last night so
probably did something wrong ;D
Thanks again both, H.

No problem L8HNB. I've got all the OS sheets for the UK on my
PC in Memory Map. If you need any more assistance here let me
know. If you'd prefer to contact me directly, my caching email
address is public on my GC.com profile (same username there as
on here).

The more I read this the more I get confused. Is there a way I
can see how many of the Explorer 190 caches I have found before
it is published?

Not unless you look at each cache page of the caches you have
found in the map area, the NGR is shown just under the N/W grid
ref.
I received the new macro for 190, which I'm testing at the
moment, today. Will be a while before the actual final cache is
issued as I need to do the cache page, get it approved and place
the actual final cache.
You could try it out on Yorkshire Yellow's Explorer 179
(GC4OOB8) as I guess you will have found a few down there.

Thanks for that. I already have looked at Explorer 179 and I
have enough finds to claim it so will nip in next time I am
passing.
I will look forward to yours being released.

This concept seems to be slowly gathering pace. See

and general information at

I've a page written up for the Forest of Dean OL14 map and
container stocked up and ready to go. I only need to find a
hiding place now.
