Yes, I see what you mean. We could have the walk somewhere else,
I can't think of where right now though...
Could always go back to The farmers Arms in Guiting, as there
are other circular walks in that area...?

Any more thoughts on this one? It's coming up to the middle of
October now, so it may be pushing it if we leave it longer, thus
why I'm posting this now :)
I think the demand is there, and it would be great - but are we
all too busy this time ??? I know I will be come November, and
I won't have much spare time until mid-December :-\

Do we need to have a meeting ???
If we do go back to the Coach And Horses at Ganborough the
caches nearby are mostly Mels and mine,i dont know if Mel wants
to keep her series as i know the bonus as gone and she might be
happy to free up the area so we could walk from the pub, also i
having problems with my To The Manor Born cache so that one can
go.
Another option is Adlestrop, not a million miles away from the
pub, good parking at the village hall and i have hidden some
caches already ::).A good walk, not too long and just right for
a new series.Just need to add a couple more and to check the
others are still there.
I await your thoughts.

Yes, yes YES ;D I love Adlestrop, actually - it's a pretty
little village and there are some good walks around :)
Otherwise, yes, walk near Coach and horses looks good, plus it's
all in one location, though Adlestrop has the advantage of
having new caches already in place (less work).
I think we should have a meeting at some point, but for now I
think we can discuss talking to the pub etc here, or in a more
private thread... Then once we have confirmed all that we can
have a meeting ???
presumably you mean having the event at Coach And horses, walk
in Adlestrop? Or are you thinking of a more local pub?
What do you think?

What do you think is the better choice?

Not had chance to go over to The Lamb and chat with the owner
but as I said before, the layout isn't very good for an Event.
The walk is great :)
The Coach & Horses has a very good layout (as used before :D ).
Don't know Adlestrop except for the odd caches I've done over
there and there's plenty of room for more :)

Adlestrop Village hall available to hire for six pounds a
hour,toilets,parking,capacity 100,kitchen.
Bring your own turkey sandwiches etc so no hassle of arranging
food.
Someone can man the kettle whilst we are out on the walk.
Maybe a small charge for tea etc or a raffle to cover hire
costs.
Just a few thoughts.

Interesting idea :)
ADLESTROP VILLAGE HALL

‘Yes, I remember Adlestrop….’
Adlestrop Village Hall is open for hire for special functions,
classes and any group event at very reasonable rates. It is
situated in the picturesque north Cotswold village of Adlestrop
in its own grounds which feature lawns behind and at the side, a
large gravelled car parking area and a barbeque feature.
Adlestrop is approximately 3 miles from Stow on the Wold, 5
miles from Chipping Norton, 4 miles from Moreton in the Marsh.
There is sufficient space to erect a marquee outside for wedding
receptions and celebration events. Inside the hall is very
spacious and light with a small stage at one end, and a modern
and well-appointed kitchen at the other. One of the highlights
of the hall is its splendid Millennium Mural which depicts
Adlestrop Railway Station as it once was when Edward Thomas
stopped there and was inspired by it and the countryside to
write his famous poem.
There are new chairs and tables that can be set up in a variety
of combinations to suit any occasion. There are two toilets
including one for the disabled and there are ramps to help
wheelchair access. The hall is centrally heated.
Juke box, pool table, table tennis, croquet set and darts board
available.
Whilst it isn't the traditional CacheWalker way, I do like this
idea, good one! ;D Definitely prevents a lot of hassle, and
even better as there are caches placed near by. Love the turkey
sandwich idea! Can't think of a better way to use the left overs
:D
Plus, as there's darts, table tennis, pool table etc we could
have a few friendly matches. Stage to present CWSBC awards (I
can sort out some prizes, raffle can cover that too). Brilliant!
I suppose the only problem is the weather - Coach and Horses in
an ideal spot by an A-road, Adlestrop near an A-road but I
imagine the minor roads to it would get bad during
winter-weather ???
