Yep, we did the series a while ago, most caches are excellent
and the series well worth doing - it took us just over a year if
I remember correctly.

I managed to pick up the final four counties last week so I now
have the co-ords for the final LQ cache. It has been fun
gallivanting around the country visiting different places, which
has also enabled me to pick up a fair few virtual caches too,
along with other hand picked caches.
Thinking of making the final my 1,000th unknown cache find, but
will require some careful planning for that to happen :-)

Well done! We think you will enjoy the final too, it will
always be good but in the next couple of months even better.
Good luck!

When Little Quest came out, I thought I would never do that but
I've now visited all main land Counties - hmmmm, perhaps I
should have ::)
Well done gaz_zippy ;D

Also posted on Cotswold Caching:
The Little Quest is a 48 cache series which has one cache in
each county in England, once you find the first 47 caches you
will have enough info to find the final cache:
LQ:FINAL - Little Quest Challenge
HTML http://coord.inf
o/GC154N9
The reason I am posting here is the series may be in need of
some support, it was set up in 2007 and from time to time, like
other caches, maintenance is required but not always
forthcoming.
The following cache has been in a bad way since February:
LQ:OXON - Garsington: St Mary
HTML http://coord.inf
o/GC150E3
It is now just a logbook hanging in a tree, no bag or cache
container. The area also looks like it is about to be fenced off
for some work in the area according to the last finder. I have
contacted the CO a few days ago so am hopeful of a response, but
in the absence of this happening is there anyone on here who, if
this cache gets archived, would like to become a CO of a cache
in the Little Quest series?
The cache does not need to be hidden in the same spot, although
it is a nice spot, it can be hidden anywhere in the county, but
please remember that the series was set up to 'Show off your
county' :)
Some guidance about the series can be found here:
Little Quest Series

If anyone could help then that would be great.
Regards,
Gary

That's a shame [member=37]gaz_zippy[/member] , will tweet a link
to this post via our twitter.
For some reason GC.com won't let me log in right now, so I can't
see where exactly it is - if no one offers, and it isn't too far
away, then I guess I can look after it :)
Also, surprised that I never saw the posts mentioning you've
found all bar the bonus - well done - how close are you to your
1000th unknown find ???

Griff, community maintenance would be great as the GC code and
history can be preserved, but if it comes to it and it gets
archived, then creating a brand new cache somewhere else in the
county would be great too.
I am currently on 969 Unknown cache finds so another 30 to go,
not sure when that will be achieved though, hopefully sometime
in the next couple of months would be good.

Might be worth posting the same on geocaching.com UK forum and
the GAGB forum also - kind of spread shot tactics!
I remember we had to wait for LQ:City (London) and
LQ:Merseyside. We actually met HazelS at LQ:Meseyside on our
way to the final as she was replacing the missing cache that
morning and wanted to make sure we found it :D :D
Most of the series were well maintained over the time period it
took us to get them. I remember LQ:Oxon well as it was nearly
dark when I found it (16:34 in a cold November) I only had a
small torch and it stunk of Fox! The views over the lights of
Oxford were quite something though. If I remember correctly
there is quite a bit of scope for a replacement in the area.
Happy days!
We're hoping to pick off a few of the Scottish Quest while up
there in July/August, fingers crossed.
PS. Good luck with the 1k ? caches, that's really some
achievement...

I may post it on there, but I'll give the CO chance to reply
first, I just thought I would sound out the local forums members
in case it does need a new cache setting up. I have been lucky
that nearly all I have found have been in good order, needed to
phone a friend at Essex as the co-ords are miles out and the
spoiler photo was 6 years out of date and looked nothing like
where the cache was, hint not relevant either, only other issue
was missing numbers in North Yorkshire.
I'll have to have a look at the Scottish Quest, although not
cached at all in Scotland yet so I think it may be a touch too
far at present to take on such a challenge.
Finding it hard to pick up the unknowns now, having to travel
much further and the quality seems to be diminishing, need to do
some serious planning to find some nice walks and pick up the
last 30 required...

Yesterday I picked up the final 23 mystery caches required to
leave me on 999 finds, so now need to plan a visit to LQ: Final.
LQ:OXON - Garsington: St Mary is now fenced off, so this leg of
the series is in serious need of some help, CO didn't reply to
my email, but they have logged onto the website, 3 recent NM
logs on this cache now, might be time for the NA unless
community assistance can be found... anyone???
