LQ:Final - Little Quest Challenge
HTML http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=e22f648a-24f4-441c-bada-8be143fe2298
I'm sure you've all heard of LQ - one cache in every county
leading to a micro final.
Has anyone found any of the caches? Or even considered to start
the challenge seriously? (Gaz Zippy, you have?)
I'd maybe consider to, it does look fun, but a LOT of diesel and
is it worth it for a 35mm (likely to be soggy) pot at the end?

Did someone mention my name? :D
I did a couple of the LQ caches back in 2011, the closest to
home (West Mids) and Devon whilst in the area on holiday, but
then didn't give it another thought until June 2012 when I found
myself in Cambridgeshire picking up some puzzle caches, and this
one was nearby (ok a few miles, but nearer than home) with that
find I gave it a bit more of a serious think about taking on
this challenge.
I have now found 27 of the 48 and still enjoying visiting
different parts of the country, so far this year we have visited
Chester for the first time, picking up Cheshire and Birkenhead,
then a first trip to Norwich earlier this month to pick up
Suffolk and Norfolk. Both times we also visited other places in
the area and I (other half is a non-cacher) only did minimal
amounts of selected caches, earth, virtual and solved puzzles.
We have been lucky on our travels to find so many non-chain,
non-identikit pubs serving good local real ale to distract me
from Tupperware hunting ;D
We have another trip booked to hopefully pick up Cumbria,
Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Durham during April, staying
firstly in Kendal and then Durham (I've not told the missus how
long it might take to get from Kendal to Durham, via
Northumberland then Tyne and Wear ;D
All I can say is yes it can get expensive, but doing it in this
way we get to visit the counties the caches are set, and Premier
Inn do some very good deals when booking early, so accommodation
doesn't cost the earth, we have been lucky with £19 and £29
rooms so far.
There is a Little Quest stats page here for anyone interested:

Think you're ranked higher as you must have found them in a
shorter amount of time? (EG If Wrighty found one in October and
the next in January, you'd have found one in October and the
next in December)
Check out the link to the bonus, Bear and Ragged :)

caches were local to you! ;)
