       Geocaching apps

Now I have my new phone I think it would be wise to download a
       Geocaching app ;D
Looking on the iOS App Store, there's nothing much I could
initially see other than the Groundspeak app - £6.99 :o But
rated 5 stars, and having used it before I know it is good - but
is it worth the money? ???
Does anyone else know of any good caching apps for iOS? Seems at
the moment like there's more on Android, such as c:geo ::)

Never used any iPhone apps so can't be of much use I am afraid.

My current phone is too old to do the app thing, so I can't
really be much help there, sorry. I did hear talk of a
Groundspeak free Geocaching app a while back, that worked well,
but didn't have the full functionality of the one you have to
pay for. I wouldn't know how or where to look for it though, as
I say I am not up on these things.

If you Google 'looking4cache' it brings up an app that I have
just installed and looks OK ish.

Check out Locus free.Os mapping with free add ons inc
geocaching. The great thing about this app is that you can search
for a location ask for the caches in that area and then see them
on the map, perfect for checking out circular walks before
       putting them in the gps.
Will show you at Twixmas if we have time ;)

Of course I've downloaded Google maps :D Does the Groundspeak
app use them, or the Apple maps? ???
