I have had enough

After yet another run in with a reviewer about placing caches I
have had enough. I do not like conflict and I do not like being
treated unfairly. I have appealed to groundspeak but expect they
will side with the reviewer no matter what I say.
I was just starting to find new ways to enjoy caching too but at
the moment I feel the event on 5th Jan will be the last thing I
do geo-caching wise

I am sorry to hear that. I don't know the scenarios surrounding
your dealings with reviewers and placing caches, hopefully you
can resolve them.
There is always the option of hosting caches on sites that have
different review processes.

Sorry to hear that :( The reviewers do get on my nerves a bit
sometimes too, but they do give up a lot of time for us, and
they are mostly friendly, and mostly do a good job.
With regards to other listing sites, there are a few, but
HTML http://www.opencaching.org.uk/
HTML http://www.opencaching.org.uk/
Opencaching UK is the second
biggest one after GC.com. Garmin's Opencaching project also is
home to a few UK caches
HTML http://www.opencaching.com/en/
HTML http://www.opencaching.com/en/
Hope that helps, and again, sorry to hear that you're wanting to
give up! :'(
PS - walk tall may want to join in here, I know he takes part in
Opencaching UK a bit?

TerrCaching.com
HTML http://www.terracaching.com
is another site. It currently has
only fraction of the caches of Groundspeak's GC.com, or the UK
Opencaching site, but it does have some good quality caches list
there, plus some unique ones not allowed on GC.com.
The user interface is a bit slow and dated, that is a minus
point. But if you are not bothered about that, even though there
are hardly any caches around the Cotswold part of the country,
if you place a cache someone will come and find it. I have found
that out. I have placed 2 caches on there, and cachers have
travelled from East Anglia just to do. There are some die hard
caching enthusiasts on there.

Which is why I haven't registered... It looks so dated I thought
the site was no longer maintained :o Which is a shame, because
it does seem, as you've said, like it is a good community :)
I think the GC.com one has a bit of both though - numbers and
good quality - take Wrighty caches for example ;D - so it
appeals to everyone, thus it has more users.

Yes I have three caches on
HTML http://www.opencaching.org.uk/
but
there is a lack of Opencaching caches in the area. They do have
some good ideas like my virtual cache - you get a number from
the location and this is the password to log the cache ;D

Some definite positives ;D For a start they still welcome new
virtual caches! ;D ;D And I do like the password idea, very
clever indeed :D :)

Recommend opencaching.ORG.UK
Not the other one!
TerraCaching site IS maintained. It has 'recently' been taken
over and a new site "Is in the pipeline..." (Not sure #when#
though!)
There's at least one TeraCacher near and ready to sponsor you...
;)
(And ready to go for the FTF!

Well I mentioned the other one because TJ has found a coupe on
there :o But the .org.uk is recognized to be better ;)
This thread is making me feel likes signing up to one of these
other sites as well ::) :)
