It is free as well - no fee as long as we are eating! ;D ;D -
which most will be!

Venue confirmed as The Farmers Arms, Guting Power on 30th
December. No information on times just yet, I guess that can be
sorted soon (it was done via telephone as the pub was closed
when we drove past, perfect location In regards to parking and
space!)
Only downside is that they do not allow dogs in the pub :-\
Who's up to planning the pre-event walk then? ;D I'm happy to
place a few caches, but don't have enough time to place caches
for the main walk.

Planning the walk and placing caches is going to be the more
time consuming bit.
Perhaps when the route has been decided that we spilt it into
sections and cachers volunteer to place caches in that section
???

This one is about 5 miles ;D

Yes it is - that route doesn't look too bad either :)
We could do that, each one of us places caches along a stretch
of the walk, but that could get a bit confusing, so it might be
easier to have just one person do it? :-\

This is about double the distance, but a nicer route:

Maybe a shortened version of that somehow?

10 miles - toooo far for a winter walk before an Event ::)
And as I use the road past the Cotswold Farm Park so I know what
it is like, it's a fast road, not sure I would like to walk
along it :o

Yes ::) your suggestion is more logical :D ;)
Does anyone want to plan it along the 5 mile route then?

While we leave the pre-event walk planning floating in the air
until someone volunteers ;D, let's get discussing on activities
;D ;D
Looking at the previous Twixmas events, they seem to have much
more going on in the pub :)
This year I think we should consider:
- CWSBC awards (need to contact Dobunnies to get the trophy back
:D)
- Spot the cache
- Secret Santa
- FTF draw
- maybe a quiz?
- maybe some other competitions?

This sounds great for a couple nights away after Christmas,
unfortunatly we're too far away to help plan the walks.
10 miles is too far , 5 - 8 before lunch would be ideal.
There's a possibility we might be on track for 10,000 cache by
then. :)
