I can but I've not built up a rapport with the pub. I've got
their telephone number as: 01451 850358. Is it best to talk to
Sandra or ?
Yes, that's their number. It is best to talk to Sandra. I've
been using my Christian name, but if you mention you're helping
me sort it all out then she'll understand, I'm sure.
I did get a reply back from her. She said
As for payment, maybe it would easier just to collect all
the money at the end otherwise it can be tricky keeping track of
who has and who hasn't, as long as we have the pre-order of what
food is needed that'll be fine.
If we could encourage anyone who is not walking to try and be
here by 1pm that'll be great!
And I replied referring to your idea:
That sounds great - I'll let people know to try and be
there by 1pm.
Someone has also suggested that as £9.50 is the price of each
meal, it may be confusing collecting all the money at once as
you'd loose track of who you owe any change to? It's been
suggested that perhaps everyone could be responsible for paying
their own meal individually, maybe when they go to buy a drink,
as I expect everyone will?
EDITED TO QUOTE HER REPLY:
Yeah sure, especially if we have a list of names anyway
we can check them off as paid as and when they arrive.
And if we do have any outstanding we will have the names
available to round them up at the end :0)
What now? With people leaving early maybe we should have a
telephone contact on the form too? What do you think walk tall?
Should you call just to double confirm the arrangements?
I'll make an announcement once we've decided/agreed/confirmed
how payment and eating times will pan out...

Griff, just spoke with Sandra and she is happy that people pay
when they order their first drink and that they can cross people
off the list :D
So, you can announce that if people have ordered food that they
pay for their food when they get their first drink and to get
themselves ticked off the list the pub will be holding. Also
that cachers not coming on the walk but want food at the Event,
need to be there no later than 1pm.

All about lists now :)
Griff:
Meal list for pub + spare for you (always handy)
Will attend list + blank strips, so cachers can drop their name
in for FTF
CWSBC - list of distances and the winner :)
CacheWalker Forum Awards (but you've already got this ready) :)
Wrighty:
I don't know if you are doing a list of your cachers for those
who might not have had chance to download (assuming they are
published early)
Not really a list but the Christmas quiz sheets :)
walk tall:
Print out basic info for the new Church Micro

Go team, go :D
I'll also sort out secret santa sack etc...
Who's bring the FTF prize? I can bring something, if necessary,
but it's not too exciting! :D

Griff, I can print out Secret Santa slips (design already done
to stop you getting your own present back) and bring a box for
these slips to be dropped in.
If you can't find a sac for the presents, we've got the plastic
recycle bag which is big and free standing :) Not very Xmas
though ::)

That will do ;D Unless a box of mince pies would be better? :D
Yes it is - I have a column for 'Geocaching Name' 'Real name'
'Food Pre-ordered' 'payed?' and 'Contact' (incase any are left
outstanding - this could be phone, email etc)
So:
You've got two boxes for Secret Santa and trackables to bring,
Should I try to find one myself for the FTF draw or we could use
one of the two you're already bringing?
As we gear up to set off on the walk, direct people to me if
they haven't ordered food or they want to change their choices
or to give me a form contact - the pub want one for each team if
any orders aren't payed - I'll try not to move much so such
people can find me.
- So far I only have contact for one team (Griff Grof) :D 38 to
go!
