       23rd Fine with me ;D
Think that Sundays are better anyway, as people can come and
       camp the night before.
Will see what Adam thinks about the 30th (shame if it wouldn't
be the exact birthday date) but having a look at past food
festivals, they take up lots of fields and the car park + fun
ride = too busy for my liking.
So, is everyone OK for 23rd?

Here are my own ideas for the event, feel free to post
yours/comment. I think we should have rough ideas, so I know
what to tell Adam we'll be doing, without going back and
       changing things... here it goes...
I think we should meet for the group walk first. Then go around
picking up new caches as a group. Distance/where can be sorted
       later.
Next, we arrive at the location allocated for the picnic. There
could be some new caches, also, in the area, such as the
wildlife walk multi if we don't do it as a group, so people have
the opportunity to go during the event to explore a bit more.
The usual geo-chat at the picnic, have some CacheWalker birthday
cake, and other stuff going on such as a huge birthday alfresco
raffle, and perhaps something like "Secret Santa"? Anyway, all
       that can be decided later.
What do you think? Is that alright for a very basic plan?
Perhaps we could have other stuff going on as well ?
       Let's have your thoughts...

Sounds good, but, just be careful how you write the Event page.
Events are supposed to be about the getting together and
       talking, not going caching...
I know it's CacheWalker and a caching walk is expected as part
       of the Event!
But that doesn't mean we can change the [s]rules[/s] guidelines.

I know that only too well, Butchers Bash was initially refused
because of the way I worded it. Changed a couple of words and
       all was good  ::)

Yes, I know, I'll word it as others have in the past.
The main focus is the event, anyway...

Just been reading all the posts and looks like you have some
great ideas. If all is well with permission etc, would a possible
schedule like this be something like we could organise.
       1. A morning cache walk of say 5-7 miles for anybody whose
interested roughly between nine and one.
       2. A picnic for say an hour and a half when we return also
       selling raffle tickets etc.
       3. Then set off on a nice multi on the woodland walk for about
two miles which then children could be involved in,and also
showing other normal non-caching visitors to the park about
caching, who could possibly tag along to learn what it's
       about,promoting caching etc.
       4. On return, finish off with more geochat, raffle draw and
       farewells.
Sorry if something like this has been mentioned before and i
have missed it :-[,and i don't mean to tread on toes,it's just
ideas that i felt like contributing. :)
Did you Wrighty do something similar which was popular like this
Bidford way with Mel and Judi a few years ago?
