:D - well, I vote for Thursday, because then other forum
members will know about it - not everyone will log in tonight,
tomorrow, or during Tuesday - and I'd think that should give the
farm park a bit more time to reply to Simon, if they haven't
already.
Have made a thread
HTML http://cachewalker.createaforum.com/today/cachewalker-5-year-event-committee-meeting-arrangements/<br
/>specifically to talk about the arrangements, as it would be
easier to plan this meeting in one place. For now please do not
post anything to do with Thursday on this thread :)

Would you like me to post on various other forums to see if
there is any interest? (Like we said, "Location TBA")

I carried out a poll on three other forums to see how much
interest there was in this event, so we could get an idea of
numbers. I only mentioned that it was a picnic event with a walk
at the end of September, and I said Location was TBA, but it
could have camping depending on where we choose.
My poll was "Would you attend this event?" and the options were
1) Yes
2)No
3)Maybe
Here were my results:
GAGB Forums
Total Members voted: 3 members
Yes - 100%
No - 0%
Maybe 0%
Some were keen that the venue could have camping (depending on
where we choose)
West Midlands Regional Geocaching forum
Total Members voted: 4 members
Yes - 0%
No - 50%
Maybe - 50%
They're not far away, but there was hardly any interest looking
at the results.
Emcache (East Midlands Geocaching)
Total members voted: 5 members
Yes - 20%
No- 20%
Maybe - 60%
They are far away, but it seemed like there was a lot of
enthusiasm here, with only one person saying No.
Hopefully that will give all of us an idea on the interest for
this event, over a wider area.

You should ask on all the different Facebook pages as well. They
are proving more popular than a lot of the forums at the moment.
Our own FB page GeM ~ Geocaching Midlands has a lot of people on
their who use it regularly but aren't members of a forum. I
think this is happening more nationally as well.
