Ashes of Creation

Ashes of Creation is an ambitious MMORPG going into Alpha in the
next month. I back this years ago on Kickstarter and will have
Beta Access once they get there. It's looking really good and
they are starting to release videos of the different classes.
Here is one for the "Tank" class:

Looking on their website it looks like they are following a
subscription model where you pay each month unless I'm missing
something.

Yes, the game will be free to download but there is a monthly
subscription costs for it like World of Warcraft does.

That's what it looked like to me which would rule me out. I've
never had a good experience with the subscription model games.
It's good to see someone new trying something in that market
though.
