History
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 24
MicroWave vs Thumper
MicroWave lost its weapon but rammed Thumper's eggbeater
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/eggbeaters/<br
/>apart, winning a judges' decision.
MicroWave vs Chopper
MicroWave and Chopper
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/chopper/<br
/>spun up and charged. The first hit bent MicroWave's wedge and
knocked a brick off. The second took another piece off the wedge
and separated layers throughout the chassis, making the gears
slip. Dutch tapped out and MicroWave lost by technical KO.
MicroWave vs Sweeper
Dutch pulled Sweeper out so he could focus on MicroWave.
MicroWave next faced the massive and feared vertical spinner
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/vertical-spinners/<br
/>Skeleton
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/skeleton/.
MicroWave vs Skeleton
MicroWave quickly chopped Skeleton's bar in half and knocked the
mounting loose and MicroWave's Coffin bar lost a tooth and
started to peal apart. MicroWave also flipped itself several
times, but righted itself each time. MicroWave won a close
judge's decision.
MicroWave vs Tank
Dutch went with the I-Beam this time. The entire weapon housing
flew off on the first big hit, and the fight was reduced to
ramming. MicroWave was overturned, but Dutch shocked everybody
by driving into the leg of a couch with his inverted wedge,
self-righting. However, MicroWave was soon flipped again and
this time lost a contact point. It was counted out and
eliminated from the tournament.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 25
MicroWave vs Scrambler
MicroWave's new bar, the Bar Of Holy Wrath, initially worked and
took pieces off David's weapon, but then was completely
destroyed on one end after David aggressively rammed into its
arc. MicroWave was eventually flipped, and, as it'd lost its
weapon but not all of the mounting, was stuck. MicroWave was
counted out and lost by KO.
MicroWave vs MilliByte 2
Dutch went with the Disc and won easily, going up against rookie
and fellow horizontal spinner A Bone To Pick, which had handily
beaten Skeleton.
MicroWave vs A Bone To Pick
MicroWave used its Disc weapon to tear Bone's bar apart to both
driver's surprise. MicroWave continued to land good shots and
won a judge's decision.
MicroWave vs Skeleton
MicroWave went with The Coffin again for this rematch. It was
able to damage Skeleton's spinner, and Ethan stopped using it.
Unfortunately, MicroWave's bar lost a tooth hitting the
stationary bar of Skeleton, and then the weapon housing broke
off again. MicroWave was flipped and was unable to self-right,
being counted out and eliminated.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 26
MicroWave vs Chopper
MicroWave's first round fight was a rematch with Chopper. While
it took damage to its weapon, armor and frame, it was able to
win by KO, moving on to face former champion flipper
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/flippers/<br
/>Floppy
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/floppy/.
MicroWave vs Floppy
MicroWave used the Disc. The very even fight went to JD with
neither able to land a crippling hit. MicroWave won 6-5 and
advanced to the final of the undefeated bracket to face Skeleton
a third time.
MicroWave vs Skeleton
For this rematch Dutch had crafted the Cutout bar, based on the
real BattleBot Bloodsport's THICC bar. However, it split apart
in the weapon-to-weapon hits, and MicroWave lost by KO when it
was flipped onto its back side. It joined the losers' bracket
for a rematch with Floppy.
MicroWave vs Floppy
MicroWave was unable to do much damage and lost.
MicroWave vs Scrambler (exhibition match)
MicroWave used its new Quadbar for this match, but though it did
some damage to the top of Scrambler, its frame was rammed apart
and MicroWave lost by KO.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 27
MicroWave vs A Bone To Pick
MicroWave lost and joined the losers' bracket.
MicroWave vs Chopper
MicroWave took a few massive hits to the front that split its
armor and disabled its weapon drive, but Chopper broke apart
soon. MicroWave won by KO.
MicroWave vs Floppy
MicroWave lost again and was eliminated from the tournament.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 28
MicroWave vs Skeleton
MicroWave ran the Disc for this match, but because of this
weapon's shorter reach took ramming damage to its front early
on. Powerful hits sent in onto its back once, but also disabled
Skeleton's spinner. MicroWave won a JD, getting revenge for its
previous losses.
MicroWave vs Chopper
Dutch went with the new weapon option "Disco", a small, light
disc for easy driving. Massive shots from Chopper knocked
MicroWave into the air twice, taking a small plate out of its
front armor before a titanic hit sent MicroWave flying, landing
on its back with a shattered frame. MicroWave's weapon was
disabled and it was counted out, moving Dutch to the losers'
bracket, where it would face Skeleton for the fifth time.
MicroWave vs Skeleton
Instead of the Disc, Dutch opted this time for a new Long bar,
which required a specialized handle for pushing due to
MicroWave's small size. MicroWave did very well in the opening
hits, damaging Skeleton's own bar and showing control. Then a
huge hit from its spinner sent MicroWave flying, and blew
Skeleton's bar in two. However, the front contact point on
MicroWave had been knocked off, which spelled an instant KO
since the handle for the Long bar prevented the back two from
making contact with the floor. MicroWave was counted out and
eliminated from the tournament.
MicroWave vs Floppy (exhibition match)
MicroWave won a JD.
MicroWave vs Skeleton (exhibition match)
MicroWave lost a JD.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 29
MicroWave vs Wounder
MicroWave started its bracket by facing off against another of
Dutch's bots, this one the superheavyweight vertical disc
spinner Wounder. MicroWave used the Disc to knock both weapon
towers off Wounder, doing more damage to the frame before
Wounder tapped out. MicroWave started its season with an
impressive victory.
MicroWave vs Floppy
HTML https://media0.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExOTY5OWI2YTdlYjQ3YjE5YTQ2YzZlMjQwZDczYmU0ODk4NmZlMWY4OSZjdD1n/iEMSv6R30Z3qYi53U7/giphy.gif
MicroWave ran the Disc again and, while it struggled to land a
solid hit, it did get a couple. However, it was also sent flying
repeatedly by Floppy's ramming attacks. The fight went to JD and
MicroWave won another even more impressive victory.
MicroWave vs Skeleton
MicroWave ran the Quadbar and knocked Skeleton's weapon out of
its mountings, shocking Ethan. However, as the fight continued,
its own bar took heavy damage before its weapon mounting was
knocked out of the chassis. Dutch tapped out and MicroWave
joined the elimination bracket.
MicroWave vs Floppy (losers' bracket final)
MicroWave ran the Long bar and Handle for superior reach, but
struggled to land a shot. Eventually its entire frame was rammed
in half and it lost by tapout in a discouraging end to a
bright-looking season.
[attachimg=2]
MicroWave's destroyed chassis after the match.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 30
MicroWave vs Chopper
MicroWave fielded its latest armor setup, with a side plate
added with SNOT (Studs Not On Top). This plate was soon ripped
off by the top spinner
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/tops/,<br
/>and MicroWave began to take damage to its wedge. MicroWave was
still able to control the fight decently well, and by the ninth
hit had at least a shot at the win. However, on the tenth charge
Chopper ripped the left side wheel off, KO'ing MicroWave and
sending to the elimination bracket.
MicroWave vs RadioWave
RadioWave was a nearly identical MicroWave alternate design
created by Dutch. David drove it in this fight, and it ran the
Disc. MicroWave ran the massive Turtle disc, a hugely
destructive weapon storing a similar energy level to Circle of
Death
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/circle-of-death/'s<br
/>bar. As the fight began both bots were sent flying by the
impacts, with MicroWave looking to be in control, but the Turtle
soon started to come apart and ended up breaking to such an
extent that it was heavily imbalanced and Dutch decided to tap
out. MicroWave was eliminated from the tournament.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 31
MicroWave vs Launch Break II
MicroWave was seeded #4 and first fought Launch Break II
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/launch-break-ii/,<br
/>a rookie flipper also built by Dutch.
MicroWave opened the fight with several hits with its new
"Graveyard" bar, lightly damaging LBII, but failed to get a good
grab into its front armor and ended up losing its weapon mount
on a big hit. MicroWave tapped out and joined the elimination
bracket.
MicroWave vs Bobcat
HTML https://cdn1.edgedatg.com/aws/v2/abc/BattleBots/video/1985823/674815dcc6a2d08f4346fcef42cf3237/579x325-Q100.jpg
MicroWave faced off against another of Dutch's rookies, this one
a powerful eggbeater
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/eggbeaters/<br
/>named Bobcat. MicroWave used another new weapon for this match
,
this one dubbed the Thick bar. The first hit took a chunk out of
a plate on the counterweight of Bobcat's eggbeater, and
Microwave continued to do damage until its weapon mount fell out
again, leaving it without its spinner. However, Dutch was able
to control the fight against the barely functional Bobcat, and
MicroWave won a JD.
MicroWave vs Rob
Rob, a rookie hammerbot, forfeited due to all the damage (the
loss of basically the front quarter of the bot) it had suffered
at the hands of Undertaker
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/undertaker/<br
/>in its previous fight. This put MicroWave in the third round o
f
the elimination bracket for a rematch with Skeleton.
MicroWave vs Skeleton
HTML https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/438752241042849793/1108632840737927238/Bloodsport_v_EndGame.gif
Again running the anti-vert Thick bar, MicroWave entered this
fight with a reinforced weapon mount. The first hit was directly
weapon-on-weapon, sending MicroWave soaring and landing upside
down, and leaving Skeleton with a split tooth. Dutch managed to
self-right with only a few seconds left on the count and the
bots lined up for another hit. This one was again
weapon-on-weapon, and MicroWave inflicted minor damage on
Skeleton's spinner. The third hit was a huge impact that sent
MicroWave flying and heavily damaged Skeleton's spinner.
MicroWave continued to inflict damage, eventually taking the
entire weapon system off Skeleton, though on of the hits ripped
a contact point off its own Handle. On the tenth hit MicroWave
split Skeleton's chassis in half. Skeleton was counted out and
MicroWave moved on.
MicroWave vs Undertaker
Undertaker
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/undertaker/<br
/>forfeited.
MicroWave vs Launch Break II (elimination bracket final)
LBII forfeited. This put MicroWave in the finals for the first
time.
MicroWave vs Chopper (finals)
HTML https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/438752241042849793/1076167234700984370/bs_vs_gb_the_big_hit_fixed.gif
MicroWave ran the Disc. The first hit was straight to the front
armor and knocked MicroWave into the air. After this MicroWave
was able to engage with its weapon and the hits sent both bots
flying. MicroWave's Disc took a bit of tooth damage but worked
fine until a massive collision knocked the weapon shaft out of
the mounting in a similar fashion to what had happened to
RadioWave twice earlier. With no weapon MicroWave was reduced to
a wedgebot and the next hit sent it tumbling, landing upside
down. MicroWave lost by KO and was eliminated.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 32
MicroWave vs Pancake
MicroWave was given the #2 seed and first fought the
hand-powered flipper Pancake. MicroWave ran a new asymmetrical
"key" blade for this fight, dubbed the Key Toe Diet.
MicroWave started the fight with repeated big hits, some of
the largest it had ever dished out, ripping apart Pancake's
chassis and sending itself flying. However, its blade hopped up
on the weapon shaft again, leaving the body vulnerable to
ramming attacks. What was left of Pancake managed to ram
MicroWave hard enough to smash the frame in two, much like what
had happened with Floppy previously. MicroWave tapped out and
joined the elimination bracket.
MicroWave vs RadioWave
RadioWave forfeited due to MicroWave's better chances at a deep
run.
MicroWave vs Undertaker
Ditto.
MicroWave vs Unnamed II
MicroWave's next opponent was rookie top spinner Unnamed II. The
two horizontals fired up but MicroWave was unable to bring its
Disc into play and took heavy frontal damage before losing its
right wheel to a shot from the FBS. As this wheel drove the
weapon system, MicroWave has left weaponless and on one wheel.
The fight went to JD and MicroWave lost, eliminating it.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 33
MicroWave vs Pancake Mix
MicroWave's first fight of the tournament was against Pancake's
successor, the much larger Pancake Mix. MicroWave ran the Key
Toe Diet and the accompanying handle. However, the blade
struggled to engage against PM's sloped armor. On the third
exchange MicroWave's weapon shaft once again ripped out and the
bot ended up weaponless and upside down. Losing by KO, MicroWave
fell to 0-1 and joined the elimination bracket.
MicroWave vs Undertaker
MicroWave ran the Thick Bar 2.0 and won by tapout when it ripped
a chunk off Undertaker's weapon tooth.
MicroWave vs Chopper
MicroWave ran the Disc and no handle once again. MicroWave spun
backwards to go weapon-to-weapon but took the first hit to its
chassis. The massive collision split MicroWave's frame, gouged
out an internal axle, and ripped all the plates off the
underside. With a jammed gearbox and no contact points other
than its wheels, MicroWave was counted out and eliminated.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 34
MicroWave vs Slippy Wheel
MicroWave was seeded against Ethan's new eggbeater spinner,
Slippy Wheel. For this match Dutch selected the Thick Bar 2.0.
On the first hit MicroWave's bar took a blow from below.
However, all that happened was that one end lost a tiny tooth
insert and the blade itself hopped up on the axle, dropping back
down immediately. In the second hit MicroWave disabled Slippery
Wheel's weapon. In the third engagement MicroWave took the whole
weapon off. Slippery Wheels tapped out and MicroWave won by
technical KO. Up next was the rookie flipper Manticore, also
built by Dutch.
MicroWave vs Manticore
MicroWave was unable to land a hit and lost by KO when it was
flipped. It joined the losers' bracket for a fight with another
rookie, this one the incredibly durable vert Ender.
MicroWave vs Ender
MicroWave quickly split Ender's disk in half and knocked it out
of the weapon housing. On the next hit MicroWave's Thick bar hit
Ender's plow, ripping it nearly entirely off, but broke at one
end and flew off the shaft. MicroWave continued to ram Ender,
knocking its plow the rest of the way off, and eventually
ramming its contact points off. MicroWave defeated Ender by KO,
the first robot to do so by pure damage, and advanced to face
the eggbeater Manta.
MicroWave vs Manta
MicroWave first disabled Manta's weapon in the first engagement.
The next hit further damaged Manta and it tapped out, giving
MicroWave the win by technical KO and a place in the elimination
bracket semifinal against Chopper.
MicroWave vs Chopper (elimination bracket semifinal)
MicroWave ran the Thick Bar 2.0 (with the Can't Handle It) for
the fourth time this tournament. However, it lose by KO as
Chopper exploded its chassis. MicroWave was counted out and
eliminated.
[attachimg=3]
MicroWave was essentially completely destroyed by Chopper.
All-Team Tournament 6.0
MicroWave vs Slippy Wheel
MicroWave first got a rematch with the eggbeater.
MicroWave ran the Disc, spun up, and instantly exploded
Slippy Wheel into three separate chunks, kicking itself back
into the air with its own recoil and almost striking Dutch in
the face. Slippy Wheel was utterly destroyed, with a large piece
of its armor found over 15 feet away, and MicroWave won a
memorable KO.
MicroWave vs Chopper
MicroWave took repeated hits to its left wheel, nearly ripping
the tire off its rim. The gear holding MicroWave's spinning Disc
on worked its way off and launched on the fifth hit, but this
did not impact the rest of the match.
On the ninth hit, Chopper hit MW hard enough to flip it.
MicroWave attempted to self-right but failed to and was counted
out, sent to the elimination bracket.
MicroWave vs Undertaker
Dutch, due to limited pit time, decided not to repair Undertaker
in any significant way from its previous fight against
MicroWave's twin RadioWave. Thus, Undertaker entered this match
already heavily damaged.
MicroWave cut directly through one of the supporting struts
for Undertaker's weapon, snapping the technic bar in half. On
the fourth hit Undertaker was declared knocked out, allowing
MicroWave to advance.
MicroWave vs Not That Cute
MicroWave in turn was knocked out in four hits and eliminated.
