Offset horizontal spinners are horizontal spinners
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/horizontal-spinners/msg186/#msg186<br
/>that are not centered on the bot. So far in Lego BattleBots
they
have always been bar spinners
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/spinning-bars/msg179/#msg179<br
/>placed at the front of the bot. The most successful offset was
runner-up Tank, but others include Mad Dog

/>Reaper

/>and Tombstone.
Advantages
- Like other horizontals, offsets can be quite destructive
HTML http://hardcorerobotics.com/images/pZiEj8.gif.
- Offsets are generally more stable than overheads.
- Offsets are usually lower to the ground than overheads,
meaning that they can be more likely to land big hits.
- Offsets can be very maneuverable, and be used for swinging
attacks to the sides of opponents.
- Offsets can also be made invertible, though no bot has done
this yet.
Disadvantages
- Due to the large distance from the wheels to the weapon axle,
offsets are difficult to gear.
- Offsets, due to their design usually not being optimized for
the ground game, are very vulnerable to flippers
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/flippers/.
- Like all horizontals offsets normally do very poorly against
wedges.
- Offsets are more limited size-wise than offsets, because their
blades are at medium height and thus must be shorter to avoid
hitting the chassis while still maintaining a reasonable spin-up
time.
