Skeleton
[attachimg=1]
Skeleton before Patterson-Seibert Tournament 30.
Skeleton was a vertical
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/vertical-spinners/msg185/#msg185<br
/>bar spinner
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/spinning-bars/msg179/#msg179<br
/>built by Ethan, with a design similar to that of Left Hook
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/left-hook/.<br
/>It won Patterson-Seibert Tournament 20.0 after doing poorly in
19.0 and then being upgraded heavily, gaining a heavier bar
(which split one opponent in half) and a lot of armor.
For Patterson-Seibert Tournament 21.0, Skeleton's wedge was
replaced by forks, to increase weapon engagement. It split two
more opponents, but overall it failed to replicate its previous
success.
For Patterson-Seibert Tournament 22, Skeleton kept the
forks. Shockingly, it went winless, including a close loss by KO
to the rookie lifter
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/arms/<br
/>Whiplash.
In #23, Skeleton went back to the wedge and went 2-2, with
strong wins over Tombstone and Stingray, a close loss to
eventual runner-up Tank, and a one-hit loss to rookie Hydra
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/hydra/.
Skeleton kept the same design for 24, but again failed to
achieve its early successes, beating rookie full-body spinner
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/full-body-spinners/<br
/>Sweeper, losing again to Hydra, and finishing up with a
surprising loss by JD to horizontal spinner
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/horizontal-spinners/<br
/>MicroWave
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/microwave/.
Skeleton won #26 by forfeit and was crowned champion for
the second time.
In #27, Skeleton got the to the finals against Floppy
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/floppy/<br
/>again, but lost.
Skeleton won the championship in #28, losing in the first
round but fighting its way through the losers' bracket to defeat
Chopper
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/chopper/<br
/>in the finals.
Skeleton reached the finals of championship 29 before
forfeiting to Foppy. It also managed to split an opponent in
half for the fourth time.
For tournament #30, Skeleton gained a new bar and won its
first-round fight against fellow vert Undertaker
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/undertaker/<br
/>before losing a JD to Chopper and then being eliminated by
Undertaker in a revenge KO.
In tournament #31 Skeleton gained a new wedge and a shorter
weapon, starting off the season with the #3 seed and a win over
RadioWave, but losing another JD to Chopper before being
eliminated again by MicroWave.

History
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 19.0
Skeleton vs Chopper
Skeleton lost to Chopper
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/chopper/<br
/>by KO and joined the losers' bracket to fight Dutch's powerful
horizontal spinner
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/horizontal-spinners/msg186/#msg186<br
/>Fallen Windmill
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/fallen-windmill/.
Skeleton vs Fallen Windmill
The two charged and met in the middle of the box, and the
ensuring weapon-to-weapon hit blasted off half of Skeleton's
spinner, but flipped Windmill onto its back, KO'ing it. Windmill
was eliminated from the tournament, and Skeleton was next put up
against fellow vertical spinner Thick.
Skeleton vs Thick
Skeleton lost by KO and was eliminated.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 20.0
Skeleton vs Haymaker
HTML https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/battlebots/images/c/c3/Deep6AxeB.gif/revision/latest?cb=20211128211351
Skeleton smashed Haymaker's wedge and flipper in the first two
hits. Haymaker then drove right into Skeleton's spinner, and the
bar caught the axle, ripping off a wheel pod. Haymaker had been
split in half and was counted out, and Skeleton had had a good
start to its season.
Skeleton vs Tearnado III
Skeleton won a judge's decision and advanced to the semifinals
for a rematch against Dutch and Fallen Windmill.
Skeleton vs Fallen Windmill
The first hit was a big weapon-on-weapon one. Skeleton was
knocked sideways and FW's bar was slightly lifted on its axle.
Later Skeleton flipped over its opponent with a ram and the
countdown started. FW's weapon was out of commission and it
resorted to spinning it on its head to try to flip back. Then
suddenly its weapon started working again and it was able to
self-right with only about two seconds left on the count.
Skeleton flipped it again and won by KO.
Skeleton vs Chopper
Skeleton lost its weapon early on, but ended up defeating
Chopper and taking the title.
Skeleton vs Mini (exhibition match)
HTML https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/battlebots/images/a/a5/Deep_Six_Shatter%21_BB_Champs.gif/revision/latest?cb=20220813185156
The first collision was a massive weapon-on-weapon hit, and Mini
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/mini/<br
/>was sent a full foot into the air, doing a full flip and
landing
on its contact points. Skeleton landed a few more hits before
its weapon was damaged and Ethan stopped using it. The fight
went to a decision and Skeleton won.
Skeleton vs Fallen Windmill (exhibition match)
Dutch had updated FW's bar and added anti-flip prongs on the
sides and back. The two spinners went weapon-to-weapon, but
Skeleton lost its spinner. By the eighth hit, FW had lost its
own weapon. The fight went to a decision which Skeleton won.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 21.0
Skeleton vs Death Rattle
HTML https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/battlebots/images/c/c0/Nightmare_vs_Slamjob.gif/revision/latest?cb=20220603210105
First up for Skeleton was Death Rattle
HTML http://[url=
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/death-rattle/]Death<br
/>Rattle, returning with a high-speed eggbeater
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/eggbeaters/.
Skeleton fired up its weapon and Death Rattle attacked with
its rear wedge. The hit was inconclusive and Dutch decided to go
weapon-on-weapon. Skeleton hit the side of Death Rattle's weapon
mounting, ripping the smaller bot in half. DR was counted out
and Skeleton won by KO in an impressive though not surprising
victory.
Skeleton vs Haymaker
In the first collision, the combination of Skeleton's forks and
its spinner broke Haymaker in half and shot part of the
flipper's wedge back over Ethan's head. Skeleton won another
match by KO.
Skeleton vs Chopper
Skeleton's spinner was unable to reach Chopper, and its forks
did not deflect the hits. Skeleton took some damage in the first
nine hits, and then on the tenth hit a massive impact flipped it
over for a last-moment KO by Chopper. Skeleton fell to 2-1 and
joined the losers' bracket.
Skeleton vs Floppy
Up next for Skeleton was Ethan's rookie flipper Floppy
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/floppy/,<br
/>which had just defeated fellow rookie Tank.
Ethan drove Skeleton and Dutch drove Floppy. Ethan
deliberately tried to lose, as he wanted Floppy to get to the
finals. On the tenth hit, Floppy got under Skeleton and flipped
it over. When Ethan tried to wind up Skeleton's weapon to
self-right, the rubber band pulled loose, and Floppy won by KO.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 22
Skeleton vs Whiplash
Skeleton broke in half and was counted out after a long and
brutal ramming match, but Whiplash's left back wheel was barely
attached by the end of the fight.
Skeleton vs Haymaker
Skeleton was set up for a rematch with Haymaker, but it had to
forfeit due to all the damage it had sustained in its previous
fight.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 23
Skeleton vs Tombstone
Skeleton won by tapout.
Skeleton vs Tank
Skeleton's rubber band came off and it lost by JD.
Skeleton vs Stingray
In the first exchange Skeleton knocked Stingray's bar off. The
fight went to JD and Skeleton won.
Skeleton vs Hydra
Skeleton was overturned by Hydra
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/hydra/msg262/#msg262's<br
/>wedge and forks and counted out, eliminating it from the
tournament.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 24
Skeleton vs Sweeper
Sweeper broke one of its teeth and tapped out, giving Skeleton
the win by technical KO and another matchup against Hydra.
Skeleton vs Hydra
Skeleton's weapon was damaged and it was again overturned,
losing by KO.
Skeleton vs MicroWave
Next Skeleton took on the rookie horizontal spinner MicroWave
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/microwave/.<br
/>Skeleton's bar was split in half (the weapon mounting was
knocked loose as well) and MicroWave's was damaged. The latter
flipped itself several times, but righted itself each time.
MicroWave won a close judge's decision and Skeleton was
eliminated.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 25
Skeleton vs A Bone To Pick
Skeleton was seeded #5 and fought A Bone To Pick, Ethan's new
horizontal bar spinner. Skeleton lost its weapon and a JD, and
joined the elimination bracket.
Skeleton vs Spinner
Skeleton won easily and advanced to fight eggbeater Thumper.
Skeleton vs Thumper
Skeleton won by KO and went on to face Chopper again.
Skeleton vs Chopper
Skeleton won again, eliminating Chopper.
Skeleton vs MicroWave
Skeleton's weapon mount was bent up quickly, so Ethan stopped
spinning the bar. However, MicroWave's own bar broke from the
impacts, and eventually the middleweight lost its whole weapon
housing. Skeleton flipped it over and won by KO.
Skeleton vs Scrambler (elimination bracket semifinal)
Skeleton beat the rookie and went on to the finals to face Hydra
for a third time.
Skeleton vs Hydra (finals)
Skeleton used specialized forks to attempt to get under Hydra,
but it still lost the ground game and was flipped over. Skeleton
was counted out and Hydra won its second LegoBots title.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 26
Skeleton vs Millibyte 2
Skeleton won and advanced to the second round to face Hydra for
the fourth time.
Skeleton vs Hydra
Skeleton KO'd Hydra by ramming and advanced to the winner's
bracket semifinal.
Skeleton vs MicroWave (undefeated bracket semifinal)
Skeleton tore MicroWave's Cutout bar apart and won by
overturning the other bot.
Skeleton vs Floppy (finals)
Skeleton lost a JD.
Skeleton vs Floppy (finals)
Floppy forfeited because Ethan didn't want the same fight again.
Skeleton was crowned champion.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 27
Skeleton vs A Bone To Pick
Skeleton won and advanced to the second round to fight
Scrambler.
Skeleton vs Scrambler (winners' bracket final)
Skeleton won and advanced to the finals against Floppy again.
Skeleton vs Floppy (finals)
Skeleton lost and the final went to sudden-death rematch.
Skeleton vs Floppy (finals)
Skeleton lost and Floppy was crowned champion.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 28
Skeleton vs MicroWave
Skeleton lost the use of its weapon to MicroWave's powerful
Disc, and lost a judge's decision.
Skeleton vs Retroactive
Skeleton defeated the rookie by tapout and moved on for a
rematch with MicroWave.
Skeleton vs MicroWave (losers' bracket final)
Skeleton got the worse of several exchanges, though MicroWave
went flying a couple times due to its own weapon's recoil.
Finally a massive hit from MicroWave cut Skeleton's bar in half
and ripped a contact point off itself. MicroWave's back two
contact points could not touch the floor with its new handle
attachment, leaving Skeleton the victor as MicroWave was counted
out.
Skeleton vs Chopper (first final)
Skeleton took damage to its weapon bar, but managed to win by KO
when Chopper broke apart.
Skeleton vs Chopper (grand final)
Chopper blew itself apart in the first hit. Skeleton won the
title for the third time.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 29
For this competition, Skeleton's bar was an asymmetrical design
for greater bite.
Skeleton vs Beatbox
Skeleton ripped the rookie eggbeater in half after disabling its
weapon, in the same way it had destroyed Death Rattle eight
tournaments before, and won by tapout.
Skeleton vs Chopper
Skeleton took some solid hits, but won by tapout after Chopper
again broke itself apart.
Skeleton vs MicroWave
Skeleton's entire bar was knocked loose in its mountings by
MicroWave, but it won by tapout when MicroWave lost its own
weapon mounting.
Skeleton vs Floppy (twice)
Skeleton forfeited and Ethan's other bot took the championship
for the third time.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 30
Skeleton returned sporting a new thicker bar with an octagonal
hub. It was seeded #1.
Skeleton vs Undertaker
First up for Skeleton was the winless but massively powerful
vert Undertaker
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/undertaker/.<br
/>Skeleton won by tapout after Undertaker's weapon malfunctioned
due to an axle being dislodged and advanced to the second round
to fight Chopper once again.
Skeleton vs Chopper
The fight began with a complete miss, and another followed after
the first actual hit. Skeleton's rubber band snapped, leaving it
without an active weapon, and it began to take heavy damage to
its frame. The fight went the distance and Skeleton lost a JD,
joining the elimination bracket.
Skeleton vs Undertaker
Skeleton was put up against Undertaker again. The first
weapon-on-weapon hit split a large plate off Skeleton's bar and
bent its weapon mount somehow. Further hits continued to not be
in Skeleton's favor, with one sending it sideways, snapping its
own left-side anti-flip prong (which was a brown plate). The
final hit from Undertaker ripped a chunk off Skeleton's wedge
and sent the entire bot into the air, landing on its back.
Skeleton was KO'd and the upset victory went to the newer vert.
This KO loss to Undertaker was the first time since its
second loss to Hydra
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/hydra/<br
/>that Skeleton had suffered a KO, ending Skeleton's 18-match
streak of not being KO'd, the longest in Legobots history.
During this streak it had survived going ten hits with Chopper
(also beaten it twice), and taken hits from MicroWave's massive
Quadbar. Skeleton would only suffer one more loss by KO in its
career after this.
Patterson-Seibert Tournament 31
Ethan moved Skeleton's spinner further back and shortened the
bar, but improved engagement by switching to a long, low wedge
made of many independent forks.
Skeleton vs RadioWave
First up for Skeleton was the MicroWave clone RadioWave.
Skeleton took a couple big hits from RadioWave's disk, but then
the latter's entire weapon shaft popped out, leaving it
weaponless. After a few more impacts, RadioWave lost a wheel and
was counted out. Skeleton began its season with an impressive KO
against a powerful spinner.
Skeleton vs Chopper
Skeleton's weapon proved effective, sending Chopper off-kilter
in each hit, even tossing the top high in the air once or twice.
However, several massive shots from Chopper knocked the weapon
mount backward, clinging to the rear of the bot. Skeleton
continued to make massive damage, losing a wedge side and top
plate and narrowly avoiding losing its other wedge. The fight
went the distance and Skeleton lost again, leaving Ethan to
conduct extensive repairs for a rematch with MicroWave in the
elimination bracket.
Skeleton vs MicroWave
MicroWave had a new weapon bar specifically for this fight. The
first hit was directly weapon-on-weapon, with Skeleton's bar
splitting at one end and MicroWave being launched into the air
and landing upside down. Dutch managed to self-right and the
bots lined up for another hit. This one was again
weapon-on-weapon, with Skeleton taking minor damage. Then
Skeleton took a huge shot from MicroWave that blew plates off
its spinner and sent MicroWave flying. Skeleton continued to
take damage, eventually losing its entire weapon mounting. On
the tenth hit, Skeleton's chassis was ripped in half, and it was
counted out and eliminated from the tournament.
Trivia
- Between being flipped by Hydra in #25, and being battered and
overturned by Undertaker in #30, Skeleton racked up a record 18
fights without being KO'd. It was only KO'd on 10 confirmed
occasions, 3 of which were by Hydra.
- Skeleton split multiple opponents in half, one of them twice.
Ironically, in its last match ever, Skeleton itself was split in
half by MicroWave.
- After Chopper, Skeleton fought the most matches of any Lego
Battlebot ever, with 60 official matches (this includes
forfeits—without them, Skeleton actually fought 56 times).
