Spinning discs are a type of spinner/flywheel
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/spinners/<br
/>weapon. They are usually round, but can be square. They can be
horizontal
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/horizontal-spinners/msg186/#msg186,<br
/>but most are vertical
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/vertical-spinners/msg185/#msg185.<br
/>Many-toothed versions are known as saws, and work by cutting
instead of kinetic energy transfer.
Advantages
[li]A disc is a very MoI-efficient shape.[/li]
[li]Discs are less likely to break from an impact than
bars/blades
HTML https://bugforums.createaforum.com/lego-battlebots-wiki/spinning-bars/msg179/#msg179<br
/>are.[/li]
[li]If they get the right hit, powerful vertical discs can knock
lighter opponents into the air.[/li]
Disadvantages
[li]Like other spinners, spinning disks are complicated, making
them sometimes unreliable.[/li]
[li]Disc spinners are generally at a disadvantage when they
clash with bar spinners, as bar spinners usually have much more
reach and less central mass in the gaps between the teeth,
meaning that disc spinners are more likely to take damage to
their discs from bar spinners than the other way around.[/li]
