Disadvantages

[li]Like other spinners, they can be fussy and fragile,
sometimes not working correctly or at all.[/li]
[li]Horizontal spinners can be disabled by hits from powerful
hammers. This has been less of a problem more recently.[/li]
[li]If a bot armed with a horizontal spinner gets a big hit, it
may unbalance or even flip itself

without getting hit by the blades.[/li]
[li]Horizontals are generally at a disadvantage against big
verts in a weapon-to-weapon hit, as if their bar gets hit hard,
they are in danger of flipping, whereas verts are generally not.
This can be fixed by rounding off the trailing edge of the
weapon, like the real bot Bloodsport does.[/li]
[li]Horizontals normally do very poorly against wedges, both
because wedges deflect the energy well and because they are
braced against the ground, redirecting energy back into the
spinner.[/li]
